When you woke up the next morning, Nathan wasn't in bed.
"Nath?" You call out. You get put of bed and walk into the hall. You look around but he's not there, either. You go down the steps and into the kitchen. "Maggie?" No response.
Weird, you think. You look out the window and see that Nath was outside, playing with Maggie. He was dressed and looked like he'd just got out of the shower. You knock on the window and he looks behind him. He smiles when he sees you and runs into the house, Maggie behind him.
He gives you a big hug and kisses you.
"Good morning." He says.
"Morning." You smile.
"Want some tea?" He asks, walking over to the stove where a kettle was steaming. You hadn't noticed it before.
"Sure." You say and laugh. It wasn't usually the first thing you eat or drink first thing in the morning, but it probably was for Nathan.
You sit at the table and he sets a cup in front of you. He slided in the chair next to you and sips his tea.
"Maggie can play fetch......Well, sort of. She doesn't really bring the stick back." He says and laughs. You laugh, too.
Your phone rang and it was Alex calling.
"Hello?" You answer.
"Hey!" She says.
"What's up?" You ask. Nathan looks at you and you mouth Alex.
"Not much. Can you do me a favor?" She asks.
"Yeah, sure. What is it?"
"Tell Jay that my cell phone broke and that's why I haven't been responding him lately." You realized that she was calling on her home phone.
"Okay. Does he not have your house number?" You ask.
"No. I forgot to give it to him."
You guys say your good-byes since Alex had to get back to work. She worked two jobs and since the place you both work at is still being remodeled, she is only working one job. You call Jay and deliver the message. You also give him her home number the next time he needs to call her. He thanks you and you hang up.
"Having fun being a messenger?" Nathan asks and laughs.
You roll your eyes. "Yeah. It's amazing!" You say sarcastically and laugh.
You spent the next couple of hours packing. You leave for England with Nath in three days and you have only packed half of your things. Nathan went to his hotel room and packed his things, too. You both completely forgot that he still had a room there. By six, you were almost done. Nathan came back with his things in his car and got ready to go to dinner at your place.
"I'll make it up to you by taking you out to eat when we get to my house." Nathan promised.
"Okay." You say and smile. He didn't dress up much, he just wore jeans, a red T-shirt, a leather jacket, and his usual shoes. If it was on a date with you, he would have been dressed up more, you knew.
"I'll be back soon." He said and kissed you before walking out to his car.
"You're late." Gabby said. She was waiting outside the restaurant for Nathan.
"Only by five minutes. And that is because of traffic. You haven't changed, have you?" He asked. Gabby had black, shoulder-length hair that was curled. She was wearing a short, a really short, white dress with over-sized silver hoop earrings. She wore white high heels and some silver bracelets.
