You look at Nathan.
"Who is it?" He whispers.
"Penny." You whisper back. He tenses again.
"What do you want?" You ask Penny.
"Oh, nothing much." She says casually.
"What do you want?" You repeat.
"You know. For you to stay away from Alex. She's my best friend, not yours. Not anymore."
"What do you mean?"
"Stop hanging around Alex. Stop talking to her. Stop anything with her."
"Why? I'm her friend, too."
"Because you're not a good enough friend."
"And you are?"
"I wouldn't mess with me if I were you."
"I'm not."
"Whatever. Just watch your back, Y/N. I'm not playing." She hung up. You set the phone down on the couch. Nathan wrapped you in his arms.
You were shaking. "Penny always means what she says. She never jokes." You say.
"What could she do to you?" He asks, voice full of concern.
"I can't tell." You say. A tear falls down your cheek. Nathan pulls away and wipes it off.
"Don't cry, Y/N. It will be okay." He says, trying to sound reassuring.
You take a shaky breath and Nath sits you down on the couch. He sits next to you and brings you close, putting his arms around you. You felt so safe whenever you were in his arms. Like nobody could hurt you, not even Penny.
After about an hour of trying to calm you down, Tom calls Nathan.
"Where are you, lad?" He asks.
"Y/N's." He says, one arm still around you. You look up at him.
"When you coming back?" He asks.
"I'm not sure. Hard to tell." He says, looking at you.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing with me." He says.
"Y/N?"
"Yeah. Long story. But right now she needs me." Nathan said. His voice kept cracking. He's really upset and scared for you, you realize.
"Hope everything will be fine with your girlfriend, lad, but we need ya."
"For what?"
"Our manager wants us to help plan our next concert."
"I can't just leave Y/N!" Nath protests.
"Bring her with you?" Tom suggests.
He looks at you for an answer. You nod. As long as you are with Nathan, you don't care where you are.
He sighs. "Be there in ten." He says then hangs up.
"You really don't want to leave me?" You ask, your eyes filling up again.
"Yes. I don't want anything to happen to you." He says.
You two decide to pack some of your clothes and other things. You agreed it was a good idea in case you aren't ready to be alone.
At the hotel, the other boys of The Wanted and their manager sat at the dining room table. Nathan sat down and you sat next to him. You helped plan some of the concerts. The manager really liked your ideas.
About half an hour later you started shivering. There were goosebumps on your arms and legs. It was partially from being really cold and partially because you were still scared about what Penny said. Nathan noticed and excused himself from the table for a minute. He went into his room and when he came out he was carrying a red blanket.
"It's my favourite." He says, wrapping it around you. You smile even though you feel like crying again. He sits down again and takes your hand. Nobody notices. Suddenly you feel warmer.
Later on everyone goes to bed. Nathan lays you down on his bed and lay down beside you. You guys watch a movie and he pulls you close. His head lay on your head, and your head lay on his chest. You don't really know what is going on in the movie. You're too tired to care.
Eventually you fall asleep, listening to Nath's heartbeat.
