I wrote Serendipity's Lover for a breather for Dashes of Desire. So far, this is my comfort story since I didn't stress myself out on the plot and scenes. I hope you had fun reading as much as I had fun writing this story.
Pursuing our passions can be hard. Some people tend to reach the top easily but you may often question yourself, when will you achieve your dreams? Remember, there's nothing wrong in reaching the top easily. We will all have that time to shine, grow, and reach the top.
Just like Stef, never give up on the things you love to do. Learn how to say no on things you find uncomfortable. Never let someone manipulate you on deciding, even on the simplest things.
The character of Stef comforted me, a struggling and aspiring author, while writing Serendipity's Lover. Realizations and self-reflections made my mindset change completely as I dug deeper into her character.
Honestly speaking, Serendipity's Lover didn't focus much on Denver and Stef's love story. It focused on Stef's growth and realizations on her career, Denver's unending support and adoration for Estefania, their passion, and later on their burning love.
Career, love, and passion. No one should make you choose between the three. Learn to compromise and prioritize.
Do your passion. Rest if you must. Cry if you want to breakdown. But never give up on striving to do what you love.
