"No. I am not accepting the offer, Miss Marg."

Accepting that offer means meeting Denver more than once, being affiliated with him again, and a possibility of having more projects together if the engagements of the music video is good.

Kapag nangyari iyon ay siguradong magugulo na naman ang buhay ko. I am fine without him for the past two years. Maybe not emotionally but when in terms with my career, I am doing great without anybody being affiliated with me.

Bumuga ng marahan na hininga si Miss Marg. She sat up straight which made the hold of her hand to mine removed.

I looked at her straightly. Gusto kong makita niya na magiging matigas ako sa aking sagot. Hindi dapat niya makita ang mga maaari kong maging kahinaan dito.

If she really wants me to get this offer, she should give me the terms and conditions that I approve of only.

Nagkatinginan si Miss Marg at Ate Paula. Wala namang tinugon si Ate Paula sa kanya kung hindi isang kibit-balikat.

Dahil sa naging sagot ni Ate Paula ay para bang pinagsakluban ng buong mundo si Ate Marg. She shut her eyes for a moment before raising both of her brows and looked at me again.

"Miss Stef, Denver is still fresh in the music industry," she said as a matter of fact. "I know he has a long way but I know that you can help him get the recognition he has because I personally believe that he is a great artist."

Kumawala ang isang mapaklang tawa sa aking bibig. Natigilan si Miss Marg dahil doon.

"So gagamitin niyo 'ko for him to have good engagements, is that it?" I asked in a sarcastic tone.

"That's not my point, Miss Stef. Hindi po 'yon ang iniisip namin," she replied in a unusually serious tone.

Napaayos ako ng upo dahil doon. I composed myself again into a serious and formal stance.

"We just thought that it's a good way to make the both of you work again in Denver's music video. Hindi dahil para gamitin ka kundi dahil ikaw kasi ang in demand," she said in a convincing tone.

Dahan-dahan akong tumango. Okay, I get it now. Hindi naman ako ganoon kababaw para hindi maintindihan ang nais niyang iparating.

"We personally offered the role to you first since you two made the trending list wild. Kung hindi ka naman papayag ay ayos lang at maghahanap kami ng kapalit. However, I just don't want you to reject this offer because you're thinking of wrong reasons," dagdag niya.

I inhaled a deep breath quietly. Pinagkrus ko na rin ang aking mga binti dahil paniguradong magiging seryosong negosasyon na ito.

"Now that I have cleared up our intentions, I want to know if you're still not gonna accept our offer."

I looked away at Miss Marg.

Hindi ko naman matanong pa si Ate Paula tungkol dito dahil sa pagpapanatili pa lang ni Miss Marg dito at pagpapakinig niya sa usapan naming dalawa ay halata namang gusto niya ang offer na 'to. Hindi lang siya nakakapayag sa deal dahil hindi pa ako nagdedesisyon tungkol dito.

I am sure that their intentions are clear. In fact, I should be flattered because I am the priority on their list. Alam ko rin sa sarili ko na marami pang artist ang nakapila pagkatapos ko.

Sa kaloob-looban ko ay gusto ko rin namang tanggapin ang offer. Not because I want to work with Denver but to help him since I know from the start that I suggested him to work in the music industry.
