The council room was buzzing with constant mumbling, papers of mapped forest areas spread over the table as Minho talked about what he and Thomas did on their runs so far. It was the usual meeting on updating on any important activity for the well-being of their new home, paradise.

This was a dormancy after all. The people gathered listened intently as they absorbed the information and some voicing their own.

Thomas sat next to Minho, nodding along and looking like he was paying attention but his mind was on a certain blue eyed beauty who was sitting opposite of him. He stifled a chuckle at her words in his head, noticing the playful look in her beautiful blue eyes as he silently stared at her.

"Really?" He responded, curiously as a small smile grew on his face.
"It's true. You look cute holding a gun, Tom." She answered, playfully as she stared back at him.
"Did you think that back then?" He spoke, intrigued as he didn't notice she thought that about him.

"You looked so serious. It was so cute that I wanted to throw that gun away and kiss you." She responded, fondly as she remembered when he was trying to rescue Minho and the sudden thought lingered in back of her mind.
"Next time I'll let you, Teresa." He muttered, quietly as his brown eyes darkened at the thought of her soft pink lips.

"Tom, I can't think straight if you give me that look." She whispered, shakily as she noticed his darkened brown eyes.
"Did you think that back then too?" He whispered back as he smirked at her red flushed cheeks.
"Shut up." She muttered, a small smile on her face as she noticed him hold his laugh.

"That's it for the today, shanks." Minho spoke, calmly as he placed the map papers in one pile.
"Wait, Minho. I would like request something important." Sonya responded, quickly as she raised her hand in the air. All heads snapped to her as Minho turned to her and gestured with his arm to speak.

"The people want a party. To celebrate their new home. They finally feel safe and it wouldn't be bad if they want one, especially for the children." Sonya spoke, loudly as she honestly thought it was a good idea. They needed something good from all the effort they went through.

The room filled with loud mumbling again, intrigued by the idea as Minho held a thoughtful look on his face.
"I guess it would lift their spirits up. You have a point, Sonya. Then we will have a big party." Minho responded, a small smile growing on his face as he noticed the happy looks on everyone's faces.

"We need to dress up, everyone. Leftover clothes can be sewn together to make dresses for the girls and the boys can find their cleanest shirts." Harriet spoke, loudly as she noticed some people missed their old life before the flare.

Sonya nodded in agreement, excited about the celebration as Teresa held a thoughtful look. She couldn't remember if she ever wore a dress and looked forward to finding out.

The boys also nodded in agreement, knowing Harriet was usually right when she made quick decisions. Minho soon started talking about the arrangements of the party as everyone intently listened and some voiced out their own ideas.

"I don't think I've ever seen you in a dress, Teresa." Thomas spoke, curiously as he stared at her.
"Me neither, Tom." Teresa responded, quietly as her mind nervously swirled with different outcomes.

"I think you look beautiful in anything you wear...." He whispered, softly as he noticed her thinking face and wanted to reassure her. It was his honest opinion, she was just so mesmerising to him.
"Don't worry you'll be surprised...." She whispered back, smiling seductively as pleasant tingles spread through her body at his words.

"Will I like what I see?" He muttered, quietly as he pierced her with his darkened brown eyes.
"Not telling...." She muttered back, softly as she felt herself becoming lost in his brown eyes.
"Stop teasing me, Teresa...." He murmured, softly as he watched her shiver at his gaze. Intense electricity filled the air as they silently stared at one another.

There was something familiar about the way Thomas and Teresa looked at each other that caught Minho's attention, noticing they were being quiet throughout the meeting. At first, he thought it was just lovestruck glances between the couple but he quickly recognised they were talking to each other in their heads again.

"Hold on! You two shanks are doing it again!" Minho spoke, amused as he gave them a chastising look. He snickered when he saw their faces turn red, making him wonder what they were talking about.

The others turned to look at the two as some snickered into their hands and others just glanced them, intrigued. Teresa flushed in embarrassment, feeling their eyes on her and Thomas as she shyly avoided their gazes.

"Alright, shanks. That's all." Minho spoke again, loudly as he ended the meeting. Everyone started leaving, excited mumbling could be heard about the arrangements for the party.

"Stop getting distracted, you ugly shank." Minho snickered as he lightly punched Thomas's shoulder. Thomas grunted and lightly punched him back, a genuine small smile on his face. He turned to look at Teresa, noticing her silently waiting for him.

"It's hard not to get distracted...." He muttered, softly as his words echoed into Teresa's head. Her cheeks flushed red at his words and softly smiled at him. He gently entwined their hands, his thumb caressing her knuckles as he led them in the direction of the cliff side. His favourite spot in paradise with his favourite person.
