It was a pleasant day for a outdoor wedding, the early sun peeking from the clouds as light excited mumbling drifted into the air. The wooden benches were set and placed in two rows for the people of paradise to witness their future wedded couple.
Other wooden tables were seen on the side lines, filled with delicious food and a coconut wedding cake made by a satisfied Frypan. A freestanding arch of leaves, branches and all kinds of flowers stood at the end of the path.
"Stop fidgeting, you ugly shank." Minho spoke, rolling his eyes as he watched Thomas nervously fiddle with his shirt. They stood under the beautiful arch, silently waiting for wedding to begin as many people sat on the benches.
"Sorry. Just nervous." Thomas muttered, quietly as he glanced at Minho. He wanted this day to be perfect.
"Well don't. You're marrying the girl you love." Minho responded, calmly as he placed his hand on Thomas's shoulder in reassurance."I know...." He muttered, softly as his lips tilted up into a lovestruck smile. It was finally happening, him and Teresa would be husband and wife after this. A new name for their deep bond, marriage.
The constant mumbling soon turned silent, all heads turned towards the end of the path as they paused at the vision of beauty before them. There she stands....
Radiant light glowed from within her, her beautiful blue eyes sparkling with delight as they meet his.Thomas felt his breath stolen, stunned at the sight of her as he silently stared at his future wife. His nerves instantly disappeared, feeling calmer in her presence as his gaze only stayed fixated on her. She was mesmerising.
She wore a patched up white dress, simple and flowing as small flowers decorated her dark raven hair. Her hands were holding a bunch of wild flowers, an angelic smile on her face as she stared back at him.
Teresa slowly walked down the path, ignoring the other's eyes as her blue eyes stayed locked with his brown eyes. Her heart felt lighter, knowing she was marrying the man she loves. She only ever cared for him.
She soon stopped in front of him, all eyes on them as she breathed in his soothing presence. They silently stared at each other, small smiles on their faces. Minho slowly walked up to the couple under the arch, the ring box in his hand as he cleared his throat. It was time.
"Do you take this girl to be your wife for the rest of your life?" Minho spoke, calmly as he opened the ring box and extended it to Thomas. He felt joyful, noticing the lovestruck expressions on the two as he started the wedding.
"I do." Thomas muttered, quietly as he slid the ring onto her finger before softly kissing the ring. Her cheeks flushed red at his actions as she felt herself becoming lost in his brown eyes.
"Do you take this shank to be your husband for the rest of your life?" Minho spoke, cheekily as he heard the laughs in the crowd to his words. Thomas chuckled at his best man, shaking his head fondly as he heard Teresa giggle at Minho.
"I do." Teresa whispered, softly as she slid the ring onto his finger. Her blue eyes were glistening with happy tears, feeling complete for the first time in her life.
"I pronounce you, husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Minho spoke, calmly as he smiled at the two.Their eyes locked, burning with passion and love as they continued to stare at each other. Thomas gently tugged her forward, wanting her close as he wrapped his strong arms around her small waist. He softly slanted his mouth against hers, pouring his love as he drowned in the sweet taste of her pink lips.
She pulled his head closer, softly returning the kiss with equal love as she twirled strands of his brown hair. It was a angelic kiss, promising forever to one another as they slowly pulled away. Their foreheads pressed together in bliss, the rings sparkling in the sunlight as they briefly heard the loud cheers of the crowd.
They both felt the overwhelming feeling of happiness spread through their body, knowing they were married now as their hands entwined. Teresa glanced at the flowers in her hands, still in Thomas's strong arms before she quickly threw the bouquet into the crowd.
She giggled, noticing it landed safely on Harriet's lap as she briefly saw a embarrassed Harriet glance at Minho then glanced away before he could see. Was that a hidden blush on her face?
Thomas gently squeezed her hand, his brown eyes held a soft glimmer as he loved the sweet sound of her laugh. They slowly started walking down the path, joy in the air as different coloured flower petals were being thrown at them. The first married couple in paradise.
