It was the creaky branches of the forest that rustled the leaves onto the ground, moss grass and twigs crunched as their running footsteps echoed behind them. It was the day before the party as he and Minho were on a final run, making sure their home was safe enough for their day off. It was important that they secured all ends to maintain the peace of the people.
Thomas quickly spotted the tree where he and Teresa exchanged in heated kisses, making him wonder what the blue eyed beauty was doing now. He smirked at the way she gasped his name breathlessly as he marked her neck with his kisses.
She tasted like the berries from the forest that day which made him want to taste her and they soon ended up against the tree, moaning in each other's mouths. She was quite irresistible.
"Thinking about a certain someone, shank?" Minho spoke, a smirk on his face as he noticed him lost in his thoughts.
"Shut up, Minho." He responded, rolling his eyes as a small smile grew on his face."Just marry her already, Thomas." Minho answered, dramatically as he crossed his arms across his chest. He honestly thought it was a good idea for them in the future, the first wedded couple in paradise. A start of a special tradition they could start with Thomas and Teresa.
"Do you think she would want that?" He asked, softly as he never thought about the idea of marriage before. He knew it was a symbol of love and commitment, tied to each other forever. They were just nineteen. The fact she died saving him still gave him nightmares and the idea honestly didn't sound bad in his opinion.
"Of course, you ugly shank." Minho answered, rolling his eyes as he gave him a chastising look. He wished Newt was here, he would easily put some sense into Thomas.
"I love her. Every inch of her, Minho." He whispered, quietly as his mind swirled with the idea of being tied to Teresa forever. He desperately wanted it to come true, he didn't want to lose her again.
"I know. So what are you thinking?" Minho muttered as he saw the soft glimmer in his brown eyes."Not yet. When it's right time." He muttered back, softly as he held a thoughtful look. He would wait till he felt it was right moment for him and Teresa to take that next step in their relationship.
"When you do, just remember I'm the godfather to your first child." Minho spoke, cheekily as he swung his arm around his shoulder.
"Shut up." He responded with a slight laugh as he lightly punched Minho in the ribs. Minho faked a hurt expression, pretending to hold his ribs, causing him to laugh more. He looked forward to that day.Their hut was empty, sounds of the busy hustle of people could be heard as they frantically finished the last touches for the party. She silently stared at the dress that Sonya just delivered to her, it's presence making her nervous as it lay on the bed.
Teresa lifted the pretty sundress, finding the stitching was well done and was quite soft to touch. It was black with white and blue floral patterns, short sleeved and the hem stopped at her thighs.
Her cheeks flushed red when she noticed it exposed her slender legs, making her wonder what Thomas's reaction would be. The memory of her legs wrapped around his waist as they drowned in kisses, made her cheeks flush more red by the minute.
She carefully placed it in a storage box, near her other clothes and ready to wear tomorrow. Now all she had to do was help Frypan in the kitchen, they became friends after she helped in his workload.
Teresa started to head toward the kitchen, noticing the excited mumbling of children as they ran to their loved ones. She arrived to Frypan's stressful face and giggled at Aris covered in flour who was coughing into his hand.
"I told you to be careful!" Frypan shouted, rolling his eyes as he helped Aris off the ground.
"I'm sorry. I guess I'm clumsy." Aris responded, quietly as his face turned red in embarrassment.Frypan threw him a cloth to wipe the flour off as Aris nodded in thanks and meekly left.
"Is there anything I can help with, Frypan?" She spoke, quietly as she stepped over the flour on the ground.
"Just check the heat on the some of the food. Thanks, Teresa." Frypan responded, happy he had some useful help as he slowly cleaned up the flour."No problem." She answered, softly as she ran to check the heat on the stoves. It was getting warm in the kitchen, making her grab a used cloth to wipe her sweaty forehead. She faintly heard music being tested outside, the tunes slightly out of beat but kept changing.
"I've got it handled now, Teresa. Your off the hook." Frypan spoke, calmly as he threw the used cloth in the waste.
"Ok. I'll see you later." She responded, a small smile on her face as she walked out of the kitchen. She quickly spotted Thomas and Minho entering the camp, finished with their final run before the party. She happily walked up to them, their stroll stopping as they saw her approaching. Her blue eyes locked with Thomas, noticing he was staring at her with a soft smile on his face.
"Missing me already, Teresa?" Thomas spoke as his brown eyes held a mischievous glimmer. He briefly heard Minho leaving, mumbling something about virgin eyes as he left them alone.
"A lot, Tom." Teresa responded, softly as she laced her fingers with his. She silently absorbed his warmth from his large hand and watched his expression soften.
"You have me all day tomorrow...." He muttered, quietly as he felt himself getting lost in her beautiful blue eyes.
"Good...." She muttered back as she tightened their entwined hands and stared at him, fondly."You have flour on your forehead." Thomas whispered, softly as he rubbed the flour off her forehead with his thumb. She looked adorable as she talked to him, unaware of the flour on her angelic face.
"I was helping Frypan again." Teresa whispered back, a small smile on her face as she led him back to their hut. It would a joyful day tomorrow, for paradise and it's people. She couldn't wait to spend it with him.
