The council room was being filled with people as a meeting was called by Minho, many were curious on what was going to happen. It was important when Minho called for a meeting especially in this late evening. Low mumbling filled the air as people began sitting in their chairs and silently waiting for the meeting to begin.

Thomas had a strong feeling what this meeting was going to be about as he remembered when he told Minho on their run about him and Teresa wanting to marry each other. A playful headlock and a loud yell about godfather, made him chuckle at the memory.

His mind quickly shifted to the blue eyed beauty sitting opposite of him, watching her talk with Sonya as her beautiful blue eyes slightly watered in laughter. The sweet sound of her laugh made Thomas smile, finding her excited hand gestures adorable as she chatted with Sonya. He couldn't wait to marry her and live the rest of their lives together.

Heat rose in his cheeks as he remembered their intimate nights filled with passion, desire and love. The faint red scratches on his back were proof enough that she wanted him as much as he wanted her.

The exhilarating way it felt to be with her, to be completely united together like that, the feeling of her flushed body moving with his, their strangled sounds echoing throughout the hut. It was like a unquenchable thirst.

Minho loudly cleared his throat, signalling it was time to start as all eyes turned to him. He began talking about the growth of their new home and how it has changed due to their hard work as people began to get more curious.

"That's why, shanks! There's going to be a wedding in paradise. And the first couple to be married is my best friend and his girlfriend." Minho spoke, grinning as he calmly stood in front of the table. He was thrilled when Thomas told him about the good news this morning as he quickly wanted to start their wedding arrangements and celebrate his best friend's happiness.

Teresa flushed red in embarrassment as she felt all eyes on her and Thomas and shyly glanced at him. He was staring at her, a soft glimmer in his brown eyes as he softly smiled at her. The sight of him soothed her, happiness and love spread through her chest as she felt herself lost in his brown eyes.

"Congratulations, Teresa." Sonya spoke, excitedly as she stood up and gave her a hug.
"Thank you, Sonya." Teresa responded, a small smile on her face as she hugged her back.
She glanced back at Thomas, finding him being happily congratulated by all the boys in the room including Minho.

"You'll need a white dress for the wedding and Thomas will need his cleanest black shirt." Harriet spoke, calmly as she voiced her inner thoughts and saw the couple nod in agreement. She and Sonya would get the dress part arranged with the people responsible with the sewing in paradise.

"I'll handle the benches for people to seat before the day, Minho." Gally muttered, intrigued as he glanced at Minho who nodded. It would have to be a outdoor wedding, more room for people as the huts or buildings they created aren't big enough to seat everyone.

"Alright, shanks! It's settled. That's it for today!" Minho spoke, loudly as he ended the meeting. He heard the squeaks of the chairs, excited mumbling filling the air as everyone started leaving the room. This was a heart warming time for paradise.

Teresa slowly started to walk towards Thomas as she also wanted to hug him, loving his warmth. She suddenly felt a firm hand grab her arm, forcing her to turn the other direction and became face to face with one of the citizens. Carson.

His face held a expression of mistrust and hatred, remembering her betrayal as he was the one of minor few people who still didn't like her.

"You shouldn't even be here, let alone marrying one of the most important council members. Do everyone a favour and go away." He sneered, his teeth gritted as he stared at her. His words washed over her like icy water and flinched in pain as his grip turned harder.

Frightened, she reached for his hand and desperately tried to make him let go. Her nails scratched his palm, not really working until a familiar figure yanked him away by his wrist. She shakily moved back, stunned and frozen as she bumped into Minho.

"Don't touch her." Thomas threatened, his brown eyes darkened coldly as he glared at him. His jaw clenched as his grip on Carson's wrist tightened, causing Carson to groan painfully. The thought of this man hurting Teresa made his blood boil in anger and knew he wouldn't let anyone hurt her, she was everything to him.

"Calm down, Thomas. She's ok now. I'll handle him." Minho spoke, in a rush as he placed his hand on Thomas's shoulder. He saw Thomas pause and slowly release Carson from his grasp as he breathed in deeply.

Thomas was trying to hold back his anger, something Minho was used to seeing especially if it had anything to do with Teresa. He was quite protective of her.

"Carson, we talked about this already. You need let go of this grudge and try to move on. Teresa is now one of us. If I hear any more trouble from you again, I'm going to have double your workload as a punishment." Minho shouted, irritated as he noticed the annoyed expression on Carson's face. There was authority and roughness in his voice, causing Carson to nod in agreement and leave the room.

Teresa stood motionlessly, her arm slightly hurting as she tried to calm her racing pulse. She noticed Thomas looking at her as he silently checked to see if she was hurt then his brown eyes captured hers with such an intensity that she couldn't look away, feeling quite warm under her shirt.
"You ok, Teresa?" Thomas muttered under his breath as he walked towards her and softly caressed her cheek.

"I'm fine, Tom. My arm just hurts a little...." She whispered, softly as she leaned into his calming touch. The feeling of safety always washed over when she was with him. His brown eyes quickly darkened, processing her words as he glanced at her arm before gently lifting her sleeve. Her soft skin was slightly pink.

"It's nothing, Tom. I'm ok." Teresa muttered, quietly as she noticed his angry expression and cradled his face. Her fingers caressed his cheeks lovingly as she felt him calm down and lean into her touch.
"I don't like seeing you hurt...." Thomas murmured, softly as he slowly grabbed her wrist and pressed a light kiss on her soft skin.

Her cheeks flushed red at his actions and stared at him in adoration, she didn't like seeing him hurt either.
"Well, my knight in shining armour. I got you." She whispered, playfully as she laced her fingers with his. He was always her protector just like she was his.

"Always." He murmured, quietly as he squeezed her hand. His brown eyes held a soft glimmer as he stared back at her, noticing the playful look in her beautiful blue eyes.

"You're cute when you get protective, Tom...." She muttered, softly as her cheeks flushed red at her honest words.
"Really?" He whispered, curiously as he chuckled at her red face.
"Yes, my husband to be." She whispered, quietly as she pressed a soft kiss on his cheek. She couldn't wait to call him her husband.

"I find you cute all the time, my wife to be...." He muttered, softly as he leaned into her warm touch. He smirked at her red flushed cheeks at his words, finding her even more cute. They would always protect each other.
