The hut was empty and quiet, distant sounds of crickets could be heard as waves of loneliness washed over her. Her blue eyes glistened with flowing tears again, trying to hold them back as her heart throbbed at the empty space next to her.

Teresa silently shifted into his side of the bed, drawn to him by a unknown force as she clutched the sheets where he would sleep longingly. She couldn't sleep without him.

She needed his familiar warmth pressed against her, wanting his strong arms wrapped around her. More tears filled her blue eyes, desperately wanting him to come back but she didn't know how when she herself kicked him out.

It was something she regretted, feeling her chest ache as she saw the hurt expression on his face when she didn't whisper I love you back. She didn't care anymore, never wanting to fight with him again.

Adrenaline rushed through her veins, wanting to see him as she quickly climbed out of the bed. She frantically opened the door, running outside the hut as the door slammed shut behind her.

Teresa quickly paused, stunned at the sight of him as she stared at a silent Thomas. He was breathing heavily from running, his gaze fixated on her as he stepped forward. Silence filled the air, motionlessly standing in front of their hut as they stared at each other.

"I'm sorry, Teresa...." He muttered, quietly as his chest ached at their fight earlier.
"I just wanted to keep you safe...." She whispered, softly as she slowly walked towards him and laced her fingers with his. It was all she wanted.

"I know...." He muttered in a barely audible voice as he gently squeezed her hand. His heart felt lighter, knowing they made up now and their fight was over.
"Come back, Tom. I can't sleep without you...." She whispered under her breath as she clutched his shirt.

His brown eyes held a soft glimmer, wrapping his strong arms around her small waist as he pressed his forehead against hers.
"I can't sleep without you either...." He whispered, quietly as he felt her relax into his arms. It felt soothing holding her in his arms again after the evening they had.

"I'm sorry, I didn't say it back...." She whispered, softly as she caressed his rough cheek.
"I already know...." He muttered in a barely audible voice but it was laced with a gentle caring tone as he tightened his hold on her small waist.

Comfortable silence filled the air, staying wrapped in each other's arms as the moon shone in the night sky. They never wanted to fight ever again.

Thomas silently pressed a soft kiss on her head, noticing her shiver in his embrace from the cold breeze. He gently scooped her up into his arms, lost in her beautiful blue eyes as her arms wrapped around his neck.

"I can walk, Tom." She giggled, softly as she stared at him in adoration. The sweet sound of her laugh made Thomas smile, protectively tightening his hold on her as he carried her towards their hut.
"I need to be a good husband to my wife." He muttered, quietly as he grinned down at her.

"I could get used to this." She whispered, playfully as she burrowed into his warmth.
He chuckled at her words, noticing the playful look in her beautiful blue eyes as their hut door entered his vision. All he wanted now was getting tucked into bed together.
