He was silently staring at her, his brown eyes held a soft glimmer as sounds of the hustle of people could be heard outside. His arms felt empty without her, missing her warmth as he watched his wife slowly move around the hut. She looked mesmerising wearing his shirt.
Her dark raven hair was swaying in the breeze, picking up their dirty clothes for laundry washing.
"Tom, you have to clean your dirty clothes." Teresa whispered, quietly as she carried their dirty laundry into a spare basket. She honestly liked wearing his shirts than her own clothes whenever they were alone, feeling engulfed in his calming scent.Thomas chuckled at her words, finding it adorable that was first thing on her mind after the nap they had together as he glanced at their dirty clothes in her arms.
"I forgot." He responded, softly as he sat up on the bed and spotted her hiding a small fond smile."What's causing that beautiful smile of yours?" Thomas whispered, quietly as he stared at her. He hoped he would always be the reason for her smile.
"It's nothing, Tom...." She muttered, softly as she glanced at him then placed the laundry basket back on the ground. She slowly walked up to her husband, noticing him staring at her and straddled his lap. He instinctively pulled her closer on his lap, pushing a loose strand of her dark raven hair behind her ear.
"Do you remember when I was sick two days ago?" She whispered, softly as she burrowed into his warmth."I remember...." Thomas responded, quietly as he frowned at the memory of her in the Med-Jacks hut. He remembered the worry spreading through his chest, desperately running all the way from the forest to the hut when he heard the news.
He protectively tightened his hold on her small waist, keeping her close to him. Her soft hand caressed his rough cheek, feeling him slowly calm down and lean into her touch as she smiled at his adorable frown.
"I have to tell you something, Tom...." Teresa whispered, softly as she clutched his shirt. She instantly saw his worried brown eyes and wanted to reassure him as she leant closer to his ear and told him the truth. He silently listened to her whispered words, his eyes widening as he processed her words.
"Is it true?" He muttered in a barely audible voice as he breathed in shakily and pressed his forehead against hers. He couldn't believe it, happiness spreading through his chest.
"I'm pregnant...." She whispered, softly as she absorbed his warmth. Her blue eyes glistened with happy tears, noticing the joyful glimmer in his brown eyes.Thomas laughed, pressing soft kisses all over her face as she giggled at his actions. They couldn't believe they could ever be this happy.
"Have you told the others yet?" He muttered, softly as he caressed her cheek."No, only Harriet and Sonya know." She whispered under her breath as she leaned into his touch. She remembered they were the ones who helped her with her morning sickness two days, grateful for their help as she stayed slumped in the bathroom.
"It won't take long for them to find out...." He chuckled at his words, fondly as he knew Sonya would tell Frypan then the rest would follow. His best friend would be overjoyed, knowing how much he wanted to be a grandfather.
"Are you ready for a little one, Tom?" Teresa whispered, softly as she snuggled further into his chest.
"I'm ready...." He muttered under his breath as he pressed a soft kiss on her forehead. Their hands tightly entwined, their rings shining in the sunlight as they grinned at each other. They were going to be a family soon.Author's Note: The end. This was the last chapter of Unbreakable Bond and I literally wish this was their ending because they truly deserve it.
