She silently lay on the WICKED lab table, watching the doctors prepare her and her best friend for the memory swipe. A large hand entered her vision, making her turn her head to the side and saw familiar brown eyes.

"We'll always have each other, Deedee." The brown-eyed boy whispered, softly as he stretched his arm in her direction. He desperately wanted to hold her hand, feel her essence before he lost all his memories of her.

"Always, Stephen." She whispered back, softly as she stretched her arm in his direction and entwined their hands. Her blue eyes glistened with unshed tears, not wanting to forget him as she felt him tightly squeeze her hand. Their eyes locked, their hands entwined as they waited to forget each other.

Teresa sleepily opened her blue eyes, her mind swirling with the past memory of their real names as she lay wrapped up in Thomas's strong arms. Deedee was her real name. It felt like something familiar and forgotten as she burrowed into his warmth. She was so focused on her name, she didn't realise the tired brown eyes watching her.

"Penny for your thoughts?" He muttered, quietly as he tucked a loose strand of her soft raven hair behind her ear. He felt her shift in his arms earlier, knowing she was awake and noticed her deep in her own thoughts.

"Stephen...." She whispered, softly as she stared up at him. She wanted to know if he felt something towards his real name before the maze.

Thomas straightened his body at the strange name, feeling like he knew it from somewhere yet couldn't remember. He silently stared down at her, waiting for her to explain why he felt attached to that name.
"I remember. It's your real name...." She muttered, quietly as she saw the unknown emotions in his brown eyes.

"Stephen....." He muttered under his breath as he tested the name out from his mouth. He couldn't believe it was his real name, it made sense why it sounded so familiar to him. He strangely preferred Thomas even if he hated the organisation that gave me the name. It was ironic.

"What's yours?" He whispered, softly as he caressed her cheek. Her cheeks quickly flushed red at his question, making him more curious as he stroked the beautiful colour with his thumb.

"Promise you won't laugh." She whispered back, quietly as she leaned into his soothing touch.
"I promise." He muttered, softly as he stared at her.
"Deedee." She muttered under her breath as her cheeks flushed red by the minute and buried her face in his chest.

"Deedee...." He whispered, quietly as he silently processed her name. He instantly bit his lip, desperately trying to hold his laughter back and keep his promise to her.

"Tom...." Teresa spoke, annoyingly as she frowned at him. She saw he was trying his best to hold his laughter, making his face turn red. It was clear he found it hilarious.
"I'm sorry, Teresa. It's just....cute...." Thomas responded, still trying to hold his laughter back until he couldn't anymore as he laughed at her adorable name. It suited her.

"If you keep laughing at me, no more kisses." She whispered, rolling her eyes as a small smile grew on her face. Pleasant tingles spread through her body at the fact that he found her name cute. She giggled when she saw him become silent at her words as his brown eyes held a soft glimmer.

"It is, Teresa. I meant what I said." He whispered back, quietly as he pressed a light kiss on her forehead.

She sighed into his calming touch, his head resting against hers as they continued relaxing in each other's embrace. They watched the sunrise in their bed, cocooned in their shared warmth.

"Remember when Minho was struck by lightning." Teresa whispered, quietly as she snuggled into his chest.
"That shank...." Thomas whispered back, fondly as he chuckled at the memory.

"Or the time when you got jumped by a crank on the escalator." She giggled, as she remembered he was so concerned about her safety that he forgot about his.

"You know why...." He muttered, softly as he smiled at the sweet sound of her laugh. He was quite protective of her back then, he always would.
"I know...." She muttered back, quietly as she pressed a soft kiss on his jaw. She honestly found him more cute when he took charge like a true leader.

"You forgot the time when you threw rocks at all the gladers including me." Thomas whispered, fondly as he remembered her angelic face staring down at him from the treehouse.

"I panicked, Tom." Teresa whispered back, quietly as her cheeks flushed red in embarrassment. He chuckled at her words as he tightened his hold on her small waist, keeping her close.

"Or the time when you almost fell off my hammock." He muttered, softly as he chuckled at the memory. He remembered when he caught her before she fell, causing her to flung her arms around his neck and their eyes locked. It felt like he was drowning in her beautiful blue eyes.

"It....it smelled just like you...." She muttered under her breath as she told him her honest opinion back then. She shyly avoided his gaze and buried her face back into his chest. Thomas felt heat rise onto his cheeks at her words as he didn't know she thought that back then.

"Is that why I saw you laying there?" He whispered, softly as he ran his fingers through her dark raven hair.
"I missed you when you were in the Maze. Everyone kept staring at me for being a girl and I needed to relax." She whispered back, quietly as she clutched his shirt.

He didn't reply, just gently lifted her chin with his fingers and pressed a soft kiss to her eyelid. Comfortable silence filled the air as they continued watching the sunrise, thinking back on fond memories. Memories of each other.
