Maur and I walked throughout her neighborhood. I was shocked to see that these people actually converse with one another and know each other. I still am surprise to see the wealthy people know and converse. I am thinking to myself. How could I think this way. I am no better than how people see me because I have darker skin, speak Spanish and have tattoos. I think I need to start rethinking and not think that way. " Antonio what you thinking about ?" "If I tell you, you might think I am awful. Well, I am surprised how you all actually talk and know each other. I grew up not with alot and we stayed in our neighborhood. We shopped, ate, attended church and went to schools in our neighborhood. The only time we really left our neighborhoods was to visit other relatives who lived in different cities or when my mother took me to the ballet, opera. Events like that. We had enough galleries in the area but totally different than what I see now. Please don't misunderstand me, we had very talented artists, but we were all the same income level. We even had our cemetery that was between two neighborhoods. I know I have an outlook that I still need to grow." "Its okay that you thought that way. I grew up privilege and always thought everyone was like me. When I went to college, I soon learned not all pay for school with a check, credit card or cash. People took alot of loans out and the people on scholarships were not just academically but other scholarships too. I started meeting and making new friends who were different than me. I was really blessed not ever have to worry about money. This is one of the reasons, I do alot of volunteer work and dontate money. I feel more complete when I do this but it took me in college to figure that out." " Thank you for telling me that Maur." I smiled and kissed Antonio. We made it back to my home and changed our clothes into more casual clothes.
