18. Gathering with new and old friends

Today was the day after work we all get together at my girlfriend's home with several of her friends. I was looking forward to it. I woke up early to get my work out, eat breakfast take a shower and get ready for work.  I called Antonio, "Bro on my way to work. Don't forget we are leaving early to start the grilling of the tri tip. Don't make fun of me either.  This is huge for me to see how our friends get along or not."  "KEVIN DON'T START FREAKING OUT ON ME. YOU KNOW WE ALL WILL BEHAVE. WE GOT YOUR BACK. I ALMOST AT WORK MYSELF. I PICKED US UP SOME EXPRESSOS FOR US TOO. SEE YOU IN A FEW."  I called Maur to wish her about tonight's bbq at Cindy's and Kevin was already sorta freaking out that his friends and hers won't get along."   "I know that feeling. We all do or most do when you meet your special person's family/friends. You sure we not suppose to bring anything? I am bringing to work something I made. I feel awkward not bringing anything. I hope Cindy will be okay with it. Ttyl. I have to respond to some of these work emails."
Work went pretty good for us today.  No deceased bodies that were knew. We just had to finish our documents to get ready for Antonio and I to testify tomorrow.

Antonio and I headed to Cindy's place. Jasmine took an instant liking to Antonio.
Cindy was playing with Jasmine or entertaining her

before Antonio took over.  For awhile, I was doing the grilling until the babysitter came and got Jasmine.
These were all what Cindy, Antonio and I made. Cindy outdid herself. " Cindy I hope you won't get razed about Maur bringing some dessert she made. She felt awkward coming empty handed."  " Its okay some of my friends I have known for years still do that too."
