39. Breakfast with the soon to be in-laws

My parents followed us to a mom and pop diner in town that Jane says makes the best gravy and biscuits and French toast and they use local meat. I  open the passenger door and put my hand out for Angela to grab it to help her out." "Thank you Jay."
" No problem.  Another always taught me to treat a lady well." Andrew sees me. "Jay here are all the ones that came in after you and Dr. Isles left. I  charged it on her tab already."  " Thank you but how much is her tab if you don't mind me asking?" I give him cash that paid for Maur's tab. I place them in my hummer so we can enjoy our breakfast.  "Sorry Tommy but Maur wants to see them first."
I open the diner's front door for Angela and held the door for my parents.  We seat down. "I was handed several magazines and newspapers about us. After we eat breakfast,  I have to stop to pick up Maur's new cell. You all heard it when she threw it. She will have a new number and doesn't want it given out." We both look at Tommy.  "I didn't give out her number I know better."  We order our food. I  asked for two biscuits and gravy, two French toast with fresh cups of fruit and one vegetarian omelette and one meat special omelette to go."

I got on my i pad and put out a new procedure on my contact information along with my new cell. I spoke with Cavanaugh and the POLICE Commissioner from Jane's cell. They agreed with me, congratulated me and asked me how Jane was. I gave Jane her cell back each time so she could tell them herself and they congratulated her on her engagement.
" Maur  the PC was hoping I stay on as a detective. I  have no reason to leave.  I am an independent woman married or not.  I am not resigning. I hope Jay doesn't expect me too. "  "Jane financially you won't need to work, but I know that isn't you. I would discuss that with him." 
Everyone returned from breakfast. "Babe and Maur I wasn't sure what you wanted besides Maur requires fruit for breakfast. I choice two of three plates for each of you. Here is your new cell. Andrew saw me and handed These too me.  I  paid your tab too. Tommy did not read any either. " Jay thank you but what was my tab so I can give you the cash. I am paying you back that is my bill not yours. I will pay you when I go back upstairs. "  "Please eat first than we all can read them in the living room. "  Maur chose the vegetarian Omelette and sour dough toast with fresh fruit to eat. Jane had the biscuit and gravy and French toast and some of the fresh fruit. Tommy and I ate the rest.
After breakfast, Tommy took all the empty containers to the garbage and washed the silverware and glasses that had the OJ in it.  We moved to the living room and divided the magazines and newspapers.
