36. Getting to know the in-laws & a surprise

Jay waited til Jane was asleep before he went to join everyone. Frankie informed him they were on the upper deck. I  started the laundry on the sheets, towels and bath rugs.  Maur's guest master bedroom downstairs is alot of work. I got myself a beer and brought more beer and wine out since it was close to dinner time again. "Frankie we are going to bbq some chicken and steaks helping me?"    "Not really Tommy I am doing laundry and would like to get to know Jay's parents."  "Frankie I am sorry. I will help Tommy with the cooking."  " No its okay, I  got it." Tommy and I leave and go in the extra garage to get the meat out of the refrigerator. "Frankie you don't need to help me.  I can do it on my own."   "No, because Maur will want to help. She needs to relax.  She and MA have being going non stop around here. They are both tired. I just wished you would help around here more.  I am tired too. I am leaving tomorrow to go back to work.  I  cannot take anymore days off.  I am still on probation status.  You can cook. I am going to go run and clear my head. "  "Frankie what is wrong?"  "If you have to ask me than never mind. "    I  go upstairs to get my gun and getting ready to head out. "Frankie what is wrong?"  " MA I need my space....ever since Jane has been hurt,  I have been taking the lead because PA isn't around anymore. I am tired."  "Frankie please come here. MA please go downstairs and leave us alone. I got this, " says Jane.  Jane opens her arms and I just grab her and cry.
" Jane I  don't know how you do it. I  am burnt and I am going back to work tomorrow. I  cannot take anymore time off even though I have it. Maur says I am doing good but you know how being on probationary status is and starting all over."
Angela comes out and being around Angela enough I know something isn't right.
" Please excuse me. I am going to go check on Jane."    "Thanks Maur your brother needs you." I  go upstairs and hear Frankie crying. I  cannot recall the last time I heard him cry. I  open the door and sit on the other side of him.  " Frankie what's wrong? Maur I am going back tomorrow.  I will let you talk to Jane."  I leave to the gun range. " Jane what is going on and don't tell me don't worry about it.?  I know something is eating him up but he's not saying anything.  He's worse than you."   "Jane,  Maur I figured out what is bothering him. Jane can I borrow your keys.  I have an idea where he went. He left his gun safe open."   "Tommy please be careful.  He's hurting right now. "   "I will sis."  Angela comes to Jane's bedroom. Where  are your brothers at?"   "MA Tommy went to go find Frankie. I will come out and help with the cooking.  PLEASE call Jay for me. Jay and I can do it.  Its not up for discussion.  Please get to know my future in-laws."  I go back outside. "Jay -Jane is awake and needs you." I leave to see what my fiance needs. Jacqueline looks at me. "Angela are your boys okay?"  " I don't know. This apparently has been harder on Frankie than what I imagined.  I usually can read my kids but not this time.  Tommy went to go find him." 
"Jane you okay. I heard two vehicles leave?"  "You sure you want to be part of my family.?  Close the door, so no one will hear us. Tommy has always been the screw up in the family big time. Frankie and I always had to pick up the pieces when things are not right.  Me being hurt and now this was way too much for him. My MA is very demanding and rely on us more so after my PA left her for another woman. I  guess with his job transfer,  me and MA was too much for him.  I am use to it, but he's not."  Jane he did ask me how I felt he was doing and if he meshed well with the team. I told him he is doing good because he is.  I know he's on probationary status again and that isn't easy for anyone. I really don't know what I really can do.  So far he's exceeding in areas that most newbies struggle with.  Maybe I should of told him that instead me telling him he's meshing with the team and so on. I am part to blame in this."   "I am going to go check on Angela."  I  hear Angela telling Jay's parents. " Angela it will be okay. The family always rises above and we will do it again as a family.  Jane and Jay are going to bbq. I am going to the gun range. This is where Tommy thinks Frankie is at. This is partially my fault too not answering all when he asked me how he was doing in his new position.  I  didn't elaborate enough.  Jacqueline and James welcome to the family. I am borrowing Jay's vehicle since I came in my boyfriend's vehicle and Tommy has Jane's vehicle. "  I  get my gun and gear and leaving the house. "Maur thanks bring our brothers back."  " I  will." 
I arrive at the range and see Frankie shooting.  I  don't shoot myself being an ex con. I  cannot own a firearm nor rent one without getting into trouble.  I  just pay for some earmuffs and wait on Frankie.  Maur walks in and tells the guy she wants the lane next to Frank Rizzoli Jr.  "Dr. Isles hope you can calm him down. He's safe but is taking his anger out well on the target."  "Tommy go home. I  got this now.  I will let him know you found him. Angela needs you. "  " Thanks sis.  Please let him know I will and I am sorry."  Maur nods her head and enters the gun range shooting area. The light flashes which signals the shooters to stop shooting.  Frankie stops and reloads his second  magazine he has on him. He wasn't  planning on shooting so he doesn't have enough magazines.  I  place Jane's extra three magazines on the table lip in front of him.
" Turn around and look through the window." I see Tommy. " I  read his lips and nods. Tommy leaves.  " Maur I am sorry for acting this way." shooting resumes. "Frankie let's continue to shoot for awhile than we can talk."
