We all are eating breakfast that the women cooked for us, since we cooked dinner last night. Kevin asks, " okay what's on the agenda today after we get our work out on the beach?Are the girls going shoe shopping or we going to the range?" Jane speaks up, " I say let Cindy and Maur go shopping. I need to rest more. I did a little too much yesterday. Besides residue from shooting won't go to well with Maur's taste. Its like vinegar and oil." "Very funny analogy but true Jane. Cindy you up to doing some damage. After all, Kevin has a truck that still needs to be filled." We all look at Kevin for a look, response something. We get no response. He just kisses Cindy and leaves for a run with the guys. Us gals just chuckle. "Maur I rather be running on the beach, but i know better. Please look at this. It hurts more today." I remove my top and Cindy says, " yikes that is a nasty bruise." "Why I was helping Jay last night get you ready,I rub this cream on you. Its to speed up the bruising and will eventually rid you of pain. This is why you are hurting more." " Ah that is why I smell like menthol this morning. I didn't smell it last night when I woke up for a few and heard Jay say he's falling for me." "Jane is that a good thing or not?" Asks Cindy. " Cindy, I am developing feelings for him to and I know I scared him when I got shot the other day. It didn't help when Maur told him I shot myself purposedly when a fellow officer used me as a shield to try to escape. Maur now you know not to bring such things up with him. I haven't even told him about Hoyt yet. I don't want to scare him off." "Jane I let him know about that already. I felt he needed to know you get hurt at work and have horrific situations occur to you as well as see it. I just wanted him to think about a serious relationship or to stay in the friend zone with you. I know I set you two up, but he's my friend too." "Its okay, I understand. Cindy and Maur leave. I go upstairs on the deck with some more pillows and a blanket with the sports section to read before I nod off. I bring two bottles of water too. Time passes by. Its over an hour and we return from our run. I know Jane wasn't going shopping and was going to rest but where I am uncertain. I ask the guys if they seen Jane. Antonio says, " check the deck upstairs..she probably napping out there." Sure enough Jane is. She looks so peaceful. I cover her up more and head to the shower. "Bro you were smart not to give a response about your truck being filled up. Your gal works hard for her money. She didn't grow up. privileged as Maur. I don't blame her shopping. Maur on the other hand has way too many shoes. She could do without, but I will never tell her that. I don't want to be in the dog house. I will see you in a bit. I am going to get cleaned up." Maur had brought some Epsom salt and bath salt. I am going to take a long bath to relax. "Antonio that is one long shower or bath for him. Did he fall asleep or slip?" "Nah, Kevin likes his baths when he can relax. At our old job, we all would tease him. He still has some old sport injuries that flare up once in awhile." We are watching a game when Kevin decides to join us.
