3rd person POV

You and the rest finally come to halt.

"Is this the place?" you stop at the gasoline station that seems to be burnt down. Lyle and the rest stare at the gasoline station in shock. It is in flames... The clerk and the staff member are running around in circles trying to put out the fire.

"Why is it on fire!?" Isabelle exclaims.

Nook exhales angrily, "Redd..." he mutters.

Lyle gets out of the car and runs towards the station. "Lyle wait!" Isabelle shouts, but Lyle keeps running anyway.

"Are you two alright!?" Lyle takes off his jacket and tries to help them. The clerk pats off the fire on his uniform, "That fox was here again!" they stomp on the ground. Lyle's eyes widen, "Did you say- fox?" he pauses.

"Yes! There is this sneaky fox that comes and steals candy every week. We can never catch him!" The staff member grunts.

Nook gets out of the car and stands beside Lyle. "Did you happen to see a little tanuki?" Nook claps his hands together worriedly.

"That stinking little brat is the one who caught this place on fire!" The clerk grumbles.

"W-What!? No- no. You must be mistaken, my Tommy would never do that!" Nook shakes his head.

"Well, he did. He also took a lot of our candy, along with the money that the fox stole." The staff member taps his foot impatiently.

Nook walks around in circles, "No no! I refuse to believe this! That- that isn't true!" Nook again shakes his head furiously.

"Did you see which way they went?" Lyle queries.

"Those two left a trail of candy wrappers right over there!" The clerk points straight ahead. The road has scattered foil all over it.

"Oh, Mr. Lyle we have to hurry!" Nook yanks Lyle along with him to the car.

"What did they say?" You look at Nook as he sits in the passenger seat. "They told us Tommy and Redd were here, saying that Tommy caused the fire." Lyle interrupts.

"What? That doesn't sound like Tommy at all!" You nod. "That is what I said!" Nook scratched his head doubtfully.

"We have to follow that track of candy wrappers, quick. They still might be close." Lyle buckles his seat belt. "Right!" You say and step on the gas.

In the meantime...

"Ok so you are saying that you want to protest to convince the townspeople to throw Sir. Pierce out of office?" Lottie tilts her head.

"Yes! We can go around with signs or knock on individual doors!" Digby wags his tail.

"I love the idea Digby- but... How will we convince them? The townspeople are just as stubborn as Pierce!" Lottie gestures to the people passing by. Villagers glance rudely and mock him as they walk past. Digby frowns, "Then we'll just have to get personal..." he says with a grin on his face. Lottie looks at him in concern about his plan.

"We will need markers and a big board if we are planning to really convey what we are trying to say. Like a big sign..." Digby thinks a little and then looks at the convenience store across the street. Digby smiles, "They must have materials there." he nods and walks towards the store.

Lottie follows along, "Um- Digby, don't you think it's a bad idea? By the looks of it people seem to really NOT like us..." she darts around the place making sure no one saw them.
