Car Confession

  You step outside to feel the snow had finally melted, the air was still fresh but the sun shone brightly enough to make you feel warm. 

The wet grass sparkled as you ran through town catching bugs. 

"Hey, Y/n! Y/n! Y/n!" Broccolo runs up to you excitedly. 

You stop and raise your eyebrow, "Yes, Broccolo?" 

"I see you've got a very expensive piece of furniture in your pocket!" He bats his eyes. 

"Yes... I do... What about it..?" 

"Well, I was wonderin' if you'd like to trade with me!" he smiles. 

"Sure, whatcha got?" you kneel to his height. 

"This T-Shirt!!!" he pulls a stained shirt out of his pocket. 

You stare at him blankly... 

"Well???" Broccolo grins. 

"NO WAY DUDE!!!" You bonk him on his head and run away. "HEY WAIT!!! I CAN ALSO GIVE YOU THIS PIECE OF FRUIT IF YOU WANT!!! I ate half of it but, IT STILL TASTES NICE!!!" he chases after you.

 "NO!!!!" 

You keep running until you bump heads with Nook, you both fall on the ground. Nook rubs his head, "Oh my..." he looks at you, "Oh! Ms. Y/n! Are you alright?"  

"My bad-..." you chuckle and help him up. 

"You should really be more careful, I don't want you to get hurt!" he says as he tucks a strand of hair behind your ear. You blush, "I'm fine, don't worry about it!" 

"Are you sure? Who were you running from? Is somebody chasing you? Are you in danger!?" He holds your shoulders. 

You laugh, "Nobody! I'm fine!!! The real question is, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at work?" 

"Well you see, I arrived at work but neither Lyle, Lottie, or Digby showed up! I thought you would know where they were?" He explains. 

You scratch your head, "No, I don't know... Maybe they are just a little late?" 

"But they are never this late! I tried to call them but none of them were answering their phones!" Nook worries. 

"They have to show up sooner or later, maybe they all went for a day off!" You nod. 

"WITHOUT TELLING ME!?" Nook cries. 

"Yeah, that doesn't sound like them... Maybe they carpooled and got stuck in traffic!" 

"Maybe... But what would be the odds of that!?" Nook holds his face in distress. 

"Relax, they're bound to show up soon! It's not like they are dead!" You laugh.

"WE ARE DEAD!!! WE'RE GONNA DIE!!!" Lyle shouts as the car begins to sink into the water. 

"E-Everyone calm down! Everything is going to be fine! We just have to find a way to get out of the car and swim up to shore got it?" Digby explains nervously. 

"There is no way!!! The doors aren't opening!!!" She shakes the car's door handle anxiously. Suddenly the door handle breaks. "That's not good..." she gulps. 

 "O-Ok, maybe not the doors... L-Look we only have a little bit of time, we all need to think of a solution FAST. DON'T PANIC!" Digby states loudly.
