Interruption

You woke up as soon as the sun rose. You slowly look beside you to see that Nook wasn't there anymore? 

You quickly changed yourself into your Dazed Dress, and styled your hair. You peek over downstairs to see Nook was making breakfast. You smiled.

Y/n's POV 

"Hey I see you are back to normal, huh." I say as I sit down. "Yes, yes! I thought I'd return the favor and make breakfast this time" Nook smiled and placed lightly seasoned eggs and bacon on your plate. "Wow this looks amazing! Oh and so do you! It seems you found spare clothing?" I tried not to be so obvious about the fact I knew he talked with the HHA last night. "O-Oh yes! thank you, I-I happen to have...Found these!" He chuckled nervously. "Oh well that's a relief" I nod before stuffing my face in the delicious breakfast he prepared. He ate, and there seemed to be a very tense silence between us. I coughed a little. 

I looked up to catch him gazing over at me. He looks down immediately after I notice. I chuckled slightly and blushed. I cant believe I never noticed, I wonder if he knows I like him... "M-Ms. Y/n...There has been.... something I-I've been meaning to tell you for....Q-Quite some time..." He looked away his face seemed to flush red in an instance. I panicked internally. "Whatever it is you can tell me" I smiled trying to seem reassuring.  "I-.... Well..." He looked at me worriedly his pupils shook a little and his body seemed very tense! Was I that intimidating? He froze a little, he couldn't seem to muster up the courage.... I felt bad just sitting there watching him anxiously panic. I sighed and smiled a little. "If I may... I have something I wanted to tell you as well..." I proceeded.   

Tom's POV 

I froze completely. Why was it so hard to confess to her? "Well, these past few days have been great and I really loved to time we spent together!" Y/n smiled. 

I smiled back my body still incredibly aflutter. "But-" She looked down. 

My heart dropped. Did she know? W-Was I too obvious!?  I felt my whole body ache a little as my mind prepared it self for rejection... 

"The thing I wanted to say was...Well..." She locked my gaze into hers. "I-" 

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK  

The door seemed to open by itself. It was Timmy and Tommy!? "Sorry to bust in all of a sudden, we heard our Uncle Nook was back to normal!" Timmy smiled. "A-ah yes! He's back to normal, we were just having breakfast that's all!" Y/n smiled. 

"Uncle Nook? Why are you so red and sweaty?" Tommy laughed. Y/n smiled a bit as I laughed nervously with them. "Well we came to take you back since it is a work day after all!" Timmy tugged on my sleeve. "O-Oh yes of course!" I stood up hesitantly. Y/n nodded "Well It was a pleasure to have you here, sorry for all this mess..." Y/n shook my hand. "I-I'm just happy that you offered to help me!" I grinned a little. I felt her hand linger on my paw a little. This made me incredibly weak in my legs, I felt my face burn up. "Bye Auntie- ER! M- Ms. Y/n!" Timmy laughed sheepishly. "Bye you all! Hope to see you soon!" Y/n responded. I walked back to the shop as Timmy and Tommy ran and played along. What did she want to tell me??? Why was I so nervous! 

"Uncle Nook? Are you ok? You seem stressed..." Timmy tilted his head. "Oh I-Its nothing..." I looked to the side. "You really do seem worried... Is it about Ms. Y/n?" Tommy looked over at me. "I- Well... Its complicated..." I blushed a little. "Ooou! Uncle Nook has the dotes for the mayor!" Timmy laughed. "I-..." I couldn't help but to laugh a long with them, why did my feelings feel so silly? "Did you ask the mayor to marry and have babies with you???" Tommy Snickered. "W-What! N-No!" My face reddened. "I- Didn't tell her..." I looked away disappointingly. "Aww why not!" Tommy sighed sadly. "I just couldn't bring myself to tell her-" 

"Well, I can tell her for you if you want!" Timmy smiled. "N-no thank you! I am very sure I don't want her to hear it from you boys" 

"I bet you want to go kissie kissie on the mayor!" Tommy giggled. 

"I- W-What!?" I sputtered. 

"We saw how you stare at her! It was so funny, its like in the cartoons! Where the character gets some kind of heart eyes!" Timmy mocked. 

"Oh my- Is it that obvious...." I buried my face in embarrassment. 

"It's alright Uncle Nook, Ms. Y/n also seemed a little different today." Timmy stated.

"I doubt it..." I sighed. 

We finally made it to my shop. I entered to see the HHA staring at me anxiously. I stopped and frowned in confusion. "So? How'd it go Nook!?" Lyle jumped over to me. "Tell us all about it!" Lottie excitedly skipped over. "Don't leave any detail out!" Digby ran to me as well. I stood there miserably. "Oh no... I know that look..." Lyle worried. 

"Well, turns out Uncle Nook didn't tell her after all..." Timmy admitted. The crowd cast down. "I-Its just- She was... About to tell me something as well... And well she said it in such a sad tone- I-I can't tell If it was good or bad..." I shrugged. "What did she say!?" Lottie asks. "Well..." I continue. 

Y/n's POV   

I sit down on the couch a little glum. I was hoping to confess to Nook, but I guess I left him on a cliffhanger. I wonder what he thinks I was going to say. Hopefully nothing bad! 

I then hear the phone ring. I pickup quickly. 

"Hello?" I respond.

"Y/n! Hey! Its Bud!"

"Bud?....Oh! Bud! Long time no talk!" 

"Whats up dudette? I just wanted to tell you that I'm going to visit T/n tomorrow! Just for nostalgia. I was wondering if me and you could I dunno, catch up?"  

"Yeah! I'd love too. It has been one heck of a week..." 

"Good, I'll meet up with you tomorrow then!" 

"Sure thing!"

"Well then don't be late lady- bro!" He said as he hung up

Bud was one of my old villagers but he moved out one day of July. I really missed having him around, but he seemed pretty happy in his other town. I guess I get to revisit old memories tomorrow. At least It'll take my mind off my feelings for Nook, I beginning to feel love sick!
