I SKIPPED MY HISTORY CLASS

i never wanted
to remember
the injustices
that the people
i share the skin
of
committed.

i never wanted to learn
about the atrocities
that
they have committed
on my own
kind
either.

ENGLISH IN FRESHMEN YEAR.

i'm worth
nothing more than
the blood
on my hands
and the
horrible stories
they whisper in
my ear
at the
witching hour.

SPANISH AT 10:22

can we vanish to sand?
stardom
breaks our
fragile bones
when dusk falls
into our
clumsy,
mortal
grip.

.. (jeg elsker deg.)

FULL BEFORE ART AT NOON

the canvas is blank.
i wonder
what would
happen
if the hue of
white
turned to
silver
and the edges
frayed to
green.

(black holes
eat away
at the dying
earth as
i sit on my floor
and turn to
that off shade
of dying
sunlight.)

ALGEBRA UNIT SEVEN: POLY-POLY-POLYNOMIAL

the numbers
bend and
blur
and become
something
i could
have
never
imagined them being.

COLLEGE & CAREER FOR A FUTURE THAT MIGHT NOT HAPPEN AT ALL

make the economy
a game
so i won't cry
when the
little people
in their
little houses
fall apart
under the stress
of money.

LIVING ENVIRONMENT

i hate the
way the
world is nothing
more than
something to
break under
our greedy,
insatiable
hands.
