Quinn
After speaking with Finn at the end of last week and asking if we can be in love again. I felt somewhat back to normal. Puck let me down big time and I knew that my best chance at having someone look after me and this baby, was Finn. Even though my heart was telling me something different.
I thought this as my gaze wondered off to a certain brunette boy with blue eyes messing around with Mike in the corner. He was trying to copy one of Mike's dance moves but failing miserably. Don't get me wrong Ryan dances a hell of a lot better than Finn, but maybe the dance skill just into something their family holds. I laughed as he tried to spin and nearly fell over, Mike grabbing his shoulders to steady him. Then I zoned back into what was happening closer around me. Kurt had just slammed some old yearbooks, by the looks of it down on the piano. I looked at him slightly confused.
"Wheres Rachel?" He asked looking impatient.
"She's not here yet" Finn said from his seat.
"Perfect" He said back "Glee club stands on a delicate precipice. We have all felt the cold humiliation of a slushy in the face. But as of right now, our relative anonymity as a club shields us from more severe persecution..." he paused "Swirlies"
How was this my life now? I used to be the one on the inside ordering the slushies and the swirlies. Now I'm afraid of receiving one?
"Patriotic wedgies" He continued and looked at the other members of the club.
"What's a patriotic wedgie?" Mercedes asked
"It's when they hoist you up the flag pole by your undies" Finn said looking slightly guilty.
"Strangely it did make me feel more American" Artie added looking a little traumatised at the memory that was obviously flashing through his mind.
"Based on my investigation" Kurt continued and we turned back to him. Ryan came over and stood by my side at that point and I smiled up at him from my leant position on the piano. "I am of the opinion that a yearbook photo would only fuel the flames of anti-Glee- Club terror. I've done a little library research" He then said and dished out the issues he had brought with him. Opening them and showing us different examples of Glee Club members faces being defaced or scratched out of the photo. Telling us one guy even turned into the guy who is now homeless and dresses a clown.
"Patches?" I asked, knowing who that guy was immediately.
"He barks at my mom." Brittany added.
He then went on to the next person and it just got more scary and scarring.
"Exhibit b. Tawny Perterson. Glee Club Class of 2000. Seen here in her photo with a cartoon knife stuck in her head. In a macabre tableau that, in four years, would prove early prescient" He finished. "I think I speak for all of us when I say that not having to pose for a yearbook photo might be a blessing in disguise. I suggest not fighting Figgins' ruling"
"Oh hey guys" Mr Schue said walking in. "Ah looking at old thunderclaps?" He asked.
"Its really unsettling" Artie said.
"Yeah I mean I knew some kids were cruel but..." Ryan trailed off.
"And totally unfair" Mr Schue said with conviction. "Hey, can I borrow one of these? You know what? This year's Thunderclap is going to have a Glee Club photo with every one of your smiling faces" He said looking at every one of us in the eyes. "You have my word on it" He finished. Taking the book with him.
We all looked around looking horrified.
"Well shit." Ryan said.
