I'm not going to lie, when I woke up the next morning I totally forgot I was in chicago and for .2 seconds convinced myself I was kidnapped.
I checked the time on my phone, it was 10am. When my family comes over it's typically at 2, so I had time but I wanted to show Demi some places around here before hand. Turning to my side, I looked at my girlfriend who was peacefully sleeping. I slowly started to rub her back and i leaned down and kissed her head. "Baby, wake up" I whispered.
"Noooo." Demi groaned. I rolled my eyes at the older woman and let out a little laugh. "Fine. No kisses for you." I said and started to get out of bed. Almost immediately, Demi sat up and grabbed my hand, pulling me so our lips would connect.
"That's more like it. I'm gonna shower quick and get ready, and you should too, I want to show you some things before my family gets here." I told her and kissed her forehead. Demi nodded and got up. "While I wait for you to get out of the shower im gonna go talk to your dad and Amanda for a bit. So they can get to know me more." Demi said. I nodded and gave her another kiss.
"You're adorable did you know that?" I asked her. Demi smiled and wrapped her arms around my waist, hugging me and then lightly kissing my shoulder. "Text me when you're out, okay?" She said and I nodded my head. I grabbed my clothes and walked into my bathroom. I put my speaker on and started to play some music, and walked into the shower. If they were all downstairs... they shouldnt be able to hear me sing.. right?
"I DON'T CARE WHAT PEOPLE SAY. THE RUSH IS WORTH THE PRICE I PAY. I GET SO HIGH WHEN YOU'RE WITH ME BUT CRASH AND CRAVE YOU WHEN YOU LEAVEEEE"
That was needed.
After I took the rest of my shower, I got out the shower and dried myself off. I changed into what I was going to wear today, which was a black skirt with a tight dark green crop top. After drying my hair some more, I walked out to my room and saw that Demi still wasn't there. Confused, I brushed my hair and put my shoes on and walked down stairs.
"Oh my goodness stop that's the cutest thing I've ever seen!" I heard Demi's voice from the living room. I walked in quietly and I saw my dad and Amanda showing Demi my baby photo albums.
You've got to be kidding me.
"Please don't tell me you're doing what I think you are." I said walking towards them. Demi looked up at me and bit her bottom lip to try to hide her smile. I saw her do a quick up and down glance of me before moving over to make room for her to sit.
"Look at how cute you were... what happened babe?" Demi said teasingly. I felt my eyes widen and my jaw fall as my dad let out a loud laugh. "Yeah, I definitely like her." He said and Demi let out a loud laugh.
"I'll remember that, Lovato." I told her and then interlaced our fingers. Demi closed the book and handed it to my dad. "Thank you for showing me that, seriously. I'm going to get ready if you can excuse me." Demi said and my dad nodded. I followed Demi upstairs and sat down on my vanity and started to unpack my makeup. As I was doing so, Demi came from behind me and put both hands on my shoulders. When I turned to face her, she leaned in and gave me a long passionate kiss. When she pulled away I felt myself being taken aback.
"What was that for?" I asked. Demi shrugged and planted one more kiss on my lips. "No reason. I just wanted to kiss my girlfriend." She said and I smiled, and I felt my face get red.
"You were really having fun in the shower, huh?" Demi said laughing.
Shit
"You heard that?" I asked laughing nervously. Demi nodded and smiled. "Why do you think we were in the living room? We could concentrate on the pictures in the kitchen with your music" she said.
