Demi's POV:
"I love you." She whispered.
I felt my body freeze up. Did she really just say that? I was silent for a minute before I spoke up.
"Baby?" I whispered. There was no answer.
"God please don't be asleep" I thought to myself. But, she was. She was peacefully sleeping on my chest, while now my thoughts were going crazy.
Why didn't I say it back? Obviously I knew I loved her too, but I just wasn't expecting it being said so early. I felt myself begin to smile, as I started to think of everyrhing her and I have been through.
The first meeting, spending every day with each other, her birthday, now. I didn't know that the girl I was just supposed to be surprising was going to be the girl I was going to fall in love with.
I gently leaned down and placed a small kiss on her head before closing my eyes and falling asleep.
-
I woke up the next day, and I was alone in the bed. I looked around for a second, until I heard the shower running. I heard Jade start to play music, and I got out of bed to grab a towel deciding I was going to join her. I was about to open the door when I heard the song she was starting to sing.
"I'm more than.. I'm more than.. I'm more than... body let me see your body. Take off all your makeup and your clothes. Trust me, why don't you trust me? You're the only beauty show me more."
I put my ear closer to the door to listen to the lyrics more clear.
"You're not a dime a dozen. Oh, your skin is golden
Let me show the whole damn world. You're one in a billion. The only thing you're missin' Is some tape over that mouth. Body, I'm more than my body. You can pack your things up, bye bye, just go. Body, I'm more than my body. Don't owe you a thing, no, not at all."
I felt my heart start to break. Jade has told me before when we had gotten into that argument that she's just been a body to people. And of course I took her seriously, but hearing the pain in her voice when she sang this made me break.
"I'm not a toy to play with. Not just a sight to see and my mind is worth its weight in gold. I'm not a dime a dozen. I know I'm worth this, more than you will ever know. Touch me, you just want to feel me. You just want to share me. You don't care at all. Trust you, why don't I just trust you? You just want to use me, now I know. Body, I'm more than my body. You will never get me, bye bye, just go. I'm more than, I'm more than, I'm more than my body."
I felt a single tear roll down my cheek. Taking a deep breath, I opened the bathroom door and walked in. I don't even think Jade noticed because of the curtain her music being so loud. I quickly undressed and opened the shower door, which then caused her to jumped.
"Fuck." She said and turned towards me with her hand in her chest. "Babe you scared the shit out of me oh my god. What are you doing?" She asked trying to catch her breath
"I woke up and you weren't in bed, and I heard you in the shower so I wanted to join you." I told her smiling and stepping in fully. Jade nodded her head and I saw her grab a towel to dry her hands and grab her phone. "What are you doing?" I asked her. "Changing the music, I have my sad playlist on and I cant be sad when I have my girlfriend naked in front of me in the shower." She said smirking. I rolled my eyes and smiled. I wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed the back of her shoulder.
After she changed the song, she put her phone back and looked at me, smiling. She put her arms around my neck as i snaked mine around her waist and just smiled at me for a second before leaning in and planting a soft kiss on my lips. I pulled back and just rested my forehead against hers, then lifted my head up so I could place a small kiss on her nose, which made her smile.
