12 - A Dirty Man

With his dangerous and professional eyes being set onto the woman in front of him, Calum was running off of determination and anger.

"Find everything there is about him." Calum ordered when he handed a small note that read 'Ashton Irwin' to his worker, making Jackie nod when she grabbed the note from her boss.

"Is there anything specific you're looking for?"

"No. I just want to see what kind of man he is and whether it would even be worth it to kill him."

The woman nodded briefly, knowing not to over-welcome her stay in her boss' office.

"I'll start the search now. I should have everything within a few days."

Calum only nodded, since he was stuck in an endless silence of anger, resulting in the woman taking her leave out of his office.

Everyone knew better than to try to talk to Calum when he was having his little fits. Well everyone other than Michael.

Michael loved facing Calum's wrath and anger, which he proved last night. The beauty was still back at home and in bed, recovering from the events that took place last night.

But now Calum was back to business, wanting to figure out who Ashton Irwin was and what he wanted, even if he had a good idea of what—or who—it was.

He didn't like Ashton, which wouldn't result in anything good for the said man. Calum didn't hold back on the people he disliked because he simply didn't have anything stopping him from taking matters into his own hands.

Everyone knew who Calum was; no one was brave enough to stand up against the powerful man who was known for his violence and power in the city.

He was vile and possessive, taking things as his and only his. Michael, his business, and all the other things he had were always going to be his. Calum didn't let the things he loved go.

"Here you go."

Calum instantly opened the beige folder once it was laid onto his desk by Jackie who he had ordered to give him once she was finished with her search.

"This isn't a lot." He mentioned as soon as he opened the file and only saw a few pieces of paper, which was basically nothing compared to the piles and piles of papers containing confidential information he usually got from other searches.

"There's nothing on him; he's too clean. Ashton Irwin is a dirty man." She hummed knowingly, crossing her arms while she watched her boss scan over what she managed to find, which was only the basics.

"Not even a speeding ticket." Calum scoffed once he scanned over all the information, looking back up at her, "I expect you to keep digging deeper. If you find anything let me know."

"Of course." She nodded, "I do have to tell you though..."

"What?" He quirked his eyebrow.

"There's somebody watching his name. When I was trying to dive deeper into the search I could tell I was being watched."

"Watched?"

"My camera was on; I was being recorded. And my computer kept glitching, going back and forth from different tabs. Whoever this guy is, he's the real deal and there are people working for him."

"For fucks sake." He groaned, hating Ashton even more.

He was becoming an even larger headache as the days continued to pass by, and Calum had barely found out about his existence and sudden introduction to the city.

On the piece of paper, Ashton looked like the perfect citizen. He was from Seattle, Washington where he grew up with two siblings and a single mother. He graduated high school with a high GPA, and he even went through some college where he got his associates degree in business.

And then after that his record was basically empty. Calum couldn't see what Ashton had been doing ever since he got his AA.

All he knew was that Jackie was right: Ashton was too clean to be an actual innocent man. He was hiding who he was, which meant that he was dangerous.

Calum didn't want him around his city and he definitely didn't want him around his beauty.

From there on, Calum knew that he was going to have to keep a sharp eye on the man he still knew essentially nothing about.

"You can go. Keep me updated." He said, making her nod and exit from the room.

He opened the folder again, peering down at the few pieces of paper that were on top of his desk.

"Ashton Irwin...who the hell are you?"

Hmm Ashton is a little mysterious, isn't he? 😋😋😋

Hopefully I'll be updating this story a little more frequently!! I had a little writer's block during this part of the plot, but after this part I've been good!!
