25 - A Loyal Man

Another few weeks had passed by. Calum was still trying to figure out what was going on around them. He had zero leads and zero information. He was honestly on the verge of having a mental breakdown at that point.

So that meant he was away from home and hence his beauty for a lot of the time, barely even stopping by to rest for maybe a few hours.

Michael was strangely...not saddened by the change. He loved Calum and wasn't mad at him anymore—and of course he would prefer for his love to be home—but Michael had Luke by his side, keeping him from being lonely.

So the two were used to their days alone, leaving them to domestically pass by the days together.

"Luke, what do you want for lunch?" Michael called out from the kitchen, knowing that the blonde was only a room away in the living room. He didn't get an answer, making him roll his eyes.

"Luke? I swear to god if you don't answer me then I'm not making you anything. Then that means you're going to get hungry and beg me for food. Then I'm going to laugh in your face and call you a loser."

He huffed when he still didn't get an answer. He exited the kitchen and looked inside the living room, narrowing his eyes in confusion when he didn't see Luke anywhere in there.

"Luke?" He called out once he was at the entrance of the mansion, looking around to hopefully see any glimpse of the missing man.

Michael sighed out when he couldn't hear or see anything and hence was about to give up. But he happened to glance at the front door and saw two silhouettes outside the structure, since there was a small window at the top of the door.

He opened it, since he could only assume that it would be Luke talking with an early Calum.

But he immediately regretted doing so when the two men looked at him from the movement and when Michael saw that it was Luke and Ashton. With no Calum.

He went to slam the door shut, but Ashton quickly stopped him by grabbing onto the side of the door and fighting against Michael's effort. He quickly won, pushing in alongside a following Luke.

"Stay the hell away from me, Ashton!" Michael warned as he started to slowly step back and away from the amused gangster.

"Kitty—" Luke tried, but Michael easily glared at him.

"I trusted you, Luke! And this whole time you've been on his side instead of Calum's? You're a piece of shit just like Ashton!"

Luke sighed from the outburst and glare from the other, since he knew that there was no calming Michael down now. Michael didn't appreciate or care for being lied to at all.

"And how, beautiful one? Because I go for what I want and I don't give up?"

"Don't play the noble card, Ashton." Michael scoffed, "You don't care about anyone other than yourself."
