"Dude what happened to you!" Mark came up close to them laughing.
"Shut up Sloan," Derek rolled his eyes.
"No but seriously what happened?" He put on some gloves to take care of his wounds.
"They beat him up," Meredith answered.
"And you are?" Mark looked up at Tom.
"Oh Tom, Meredith's boyfriend," he put his hand out for a shake but Mark just shook his head laughing, "I bed you wish you weren't here right about now," he whispered to Derek.

Derek laid back on the bed as Mark started to take care of his wounds. Meredith was standing beside him, worried as Tom stood behind her holding her shoulders.
"Dude," Alex came by laughing, "You guys look like a fucked up family. The mommy, the daddy and the screwed up son," he pointed at the three of them.
"Seriously Karev!" Derek looked at him annoyed. Alex turned back around laughing to himself.

When Mark finished up the three of them walked out the hospital and into the car. "What's the plan?" Meredith asked as they got into the car.
"If she really says who she is, I'm guessing she stays at the place you were held captive," Derek said getting into the passenger seat.
"So then we go there," she was about to start the car when Derek laid his hand on top of hers. Goosebumps ran down her arm as the warm touch of his skin pressed against her hand. Her eyes slowly travelled from their interlocked fingers up to his ocean blue eyes that shined from the reflection of the moon, "Meredith-," he whispered, "you know what happened the last time you went there out of the blue," he caressed her cheeks.
"Okay less touching more talking," Tom leaned in between them.
"Right, sorry," Derek pulled back.

"How do we go in?" Tom joined the conversation before anything else happened between them.
"There's really no other way to go in," Meredith looked back at Derek, "all we can do is just... go in," she gestured. Derek turned around to face the road as he started contemplating on wether to make Meredith experience that trauma again.
"Derek?" She leaned closer to him.
"You remember how horrible that placed look don't you? How horrible they treated you, how badly injured you were," he turned back around to face her.
"I do," she was about to touch him when she realised Tom was sitting right beside her staring. She leaned back and looked at Derek, "But I've been going to therapy, that helped a lot and now I have you guys." She pointed at the both of them.
"Okay then," Derek nodded, "Drive." He smiled.

Meredith put the keys back in the car and started the engine, "now or never," she mumbled under her breath. She was about step on the gas when her hands started sweating, her whole body trembling."
"Meredith?" Derek asked softly.
"I'm okay, ughm, I'm fine," she cracked her neck, grasping the wheel tighter then before but not moving. Derek looked back at Tom motioning for him to do something. 'Oh right' he mouthed, nodding his head.
"Hey Meredith," he talked her shoulder.
"What!" She shouted freaking out. Tom jumped up from fright and looked at Derek with his eyes wide open. "Meredith try and breathe, slow deep breaths," Tom turned to her again.
"That's not fucking helping me Tom," she gripped the wheel again, squeezing it even harder. Tom turned to Derek asking him for his help, more likely giving him permission to touch her. Derek slowly blinked and nodded, "Mer-," he whispered, "please look at me." He said softly but Meredith just shook her head aggressively, "I got it just give me a minute," she began hyperventilating. Derek slowly reached up to her hair and brought it over her shoulder. "Please look at me," her rubbed her shoulders with his left hand while his right stroked her thighs. Meredith took a huge gulp and looked at him, "Hi," he smiled at her, cupping her cheeks as his thumbs stroked her cheekbone, "I'm here, we're here," he looked at Tom, "we won't let anything happen to you, okay?" He cupped her cheek with his other hand. Meredith licked her lips and looked him in the eyes. They could feel some kind of force pulling their faces closer to each other as their eyes exchanged looks at their lips. "Ughm," Derek pulled back, stopping whatever was about to happen.
"Thank you," she said softly. Turning back to the wheel she started to drive.
