"God damn." Lauren huffed, pilling every folders on her desk.

"Take a break Lauren." Normani chuckled, looking at her bestfriend.

"I know what irritates her most." Keana chuckled, while Lauren glared at her.

"One of the files she's looking into is bought by the infamous Shawn Mendes who..." Keana teased, purposely trailing off for Lauren to continue.

"Fucking swept his way in on my broken relationship." Lauren growled.

"You did walk out on Camila." Normani pointed out.

"Because I was hurting her badly." Lauren sighed.

"Not even two weeks later, when I realized I made a huge mistake and I wanted to fix things..." Lauren sighed.

"You saw them at the movies, laughing and holding each other's hand." Normani finished for her, while Lauren only nodded.

"Fucking scavenger." Lauren muttered.

"If he's the scavenger, what are you, a predator?" Keana raised her eyebrow, while Lauren threw the envelope at her friend.

"Shut up." Lauren muttered

"Then Camila is the prey..." Keana trailed off.

"Was." Normani pointed out.

"Out!" Lauren hissed.

"Both of you, out!" Lauren growled.

"So temperamental." Normani teased.

"Trust me, she wasn't when she was with the Pre-"

"Fuck off Issartel!" Lauren growled throwing an apple at Keana.

"Thanks!" Keana grinned irritating Lauren more.

"I meant Camila, not prey." Keana corrected biting into the apple.

"Lauren." All their heads turned towards the door. Lauren quickly stood up when she saw their boss.

"Dad." Lauren bit her lip. Before walking towards the laptop, Richard was carrying.

"You weren't answering your phone." Michael scolded, while Lauren gave him an apologetic smile.

"Sorry, I was busy." Lauren replied.

"Have you prioritized Mr. Mendes' papers?" Michael asked while Lauren gave him a slight nod.

"Yes Dad, I'm putting it first."

"Remember..." Michael trailed off.

"Mr. Manuel Mendes is one of the potential buyers of the village in Canada, yes Dad." Lauren whispered.

"Thank you Flaca." Michael grinned.

"Okay Richard, take me to the other staffs." Michael said while Lauren shook her head.

"Sorry Ms. Jauregui, he insisted on seeing you." Richard chuckled, while Lauren nodded as the guy walked out of her office.

It was funny how Michael wanted to monitor their branch in L.A. he usually sends one of his trusty body guard to tour him around the place. Lauren gets scolded about her phone tons of times whenever she misses his calls, so he hired Richard.

"Small world." Keana laughed, Lauren gave her a death glare before sighing.

"You okay?" Normani asked, while Lauren gave her a small nod.

It's been 2 years since the breakup, and she still hasn't forgotten about the 20...well, 22 year old brunette. Camila had always wanted to debunk the rumors that High School lovers are not destined to be together forever.
