Cruel Summer II

Camila found herself staring at the window for the longest time, it's been three weeks since the incident with Shawn. Whenever he's around, Camila refused to see him, nor eat with him. Anne had been trying to urge her into eating, but she never responded. She was having a great morning that day until he ruined it.

She could refuse marrying him, but the downside would be that her father would remain imprisoned. Alejandro and Sinuhe were working side by side to provide for their family needs, when Alejandro was recruited by his boss to deliver a package.

The package was amounting a ton of money, that could change their lives and so he did. Camila was 22 when it happened, and Sofi was 11. Apparently, Alejandro was clueless that the package he would be delivering were illegally sold drugs.

Unfortunately, the male Cabello was caught. The drugs he was carrying was supposed to be delivered to Manuel Mendes. Alejandro was warned to keep quiet, by Manuel himself and was tasked to pay the drugs he lost, which was worth half a million dollars.

Shawn was familiar with Alejandro, and he knew he was the father of the girl he had been loving since highschool. Shawn gave Manuel the idea, and as his son. Manuel didn't hesitate to make the offer. Alejandro refused, but he was given time to think about it.

"Papi!" Camila exclaimed as she saw her father by the cell.

"Dad!" Lauren greeted, panting when she came in contact with her father.

"We came as soon as we heard." Lauren said, hugging her father.

"Ay mija, Papi's fine." Lauren looked at Alejandro, who was now hugging Camila with the cell in between them. Alejandro spent a good amount of time, trying to calm his daughter down while Lauren spoke with Michael.

"Uncle Mike." Camila cried, looking at Mike and Lauren.

"Lo." Camila pleaded, Lauren let out a sigh before she walked towards Camila. She knew what the brunette was telling her, but she couldn't.

"We have to get him out." Camila begged, hugging Lauren but holding her father's hand.

"I know Camz, I know." Lauren whispered.

"I'm sorry Camila." Michael looked down, glancing at Alejandro.

"You...brought him here?" Camila asked.

"No, I was supposed to be the Police in Patrol but the chief changed the schedule." Michael apologized.

"If I was, I would't closed my eyes." Michael added.

"What happened Papi? Please tell me the truth." Camila begged.

"Ay Camilita." Alejandro sighed in embarassment.

"I know you're graduating in a few months, and you need to settle some miscellaneous fees. I was offered to deliver a package, to an address. It turned out, the car I was driving was already rigged mija. It was already monitored, and halfway through driving I was stopped by the checkpoint. I didn't know I was carrying illegal drugs." Alejandro confessed.

"Uncle Mike..." Camila trailed off.

"We're getting more details mija, there was some report that the car was stolen from a wealthy businessman, and Ale was the driver." Michael apologized.

"We'll get you out of here Uncle, I promise." Lauren whispered, while Alejandro smiled at her.

"Thank you mija, please take care of Camila while we sort this fiasco out okay?" Alejandro said.
