It was another sunny day, a perfect day to go and enjoy. But here we're met with a gloomy Camila who didn't want to move at all.
"Walz, come on! At least get tanned or something." Dinah urged, pulling Camila off the car.
"Come on Mila." Ally said, but the brunette didn't budge.
"You girls go, I'm staying here." Camila sighed, closing her eyes and leaning back on the passenger seat.
"What has gotten into you? You were fine a few moments ago." Dinah asked.
"Nothing Chee, you should just go." Camila said pushing Dinah gently, and on the process of closing the door.
"Hang on."
"Walz." Dinah said sternly when she realized Camila was wearing a familiar jewelry that she hasn't worn 8 years ago.
"I saw it while digging through my old stuffs, it was on the pocket of my jeans." Camila said.
"What's the point of wearing that anymore?" Dinah sighed.
"I dunno, just let me fool myself into thinking the promise ring still holds the promise." Camila bit her lip, now pushing Dinah out the car.
"We can just go home and bake cookies." Ally suggested.
"It's fine Als, you can enjoy. You've planned this trip for so long." Camila smiled.
"I just need a moment, I'll be there."
"Okay Mila." Ally said softly, looking at Dinah.
Camila smiled before gently closing the door of Ally's car, leaning back on the car seat and just thinking.
If promise rings meant holding onto a promise, then what is it when the promise is broken?
"I miss you." Camila whispered.
"The beach Ma'am! The gloomy beach, to be exact." Lauren chuckled, while Camila giggled in response.
"Someone's very happy." The 17 years old Lauren chuckled, looking at the 17 year old Camila.
"I'm finally spending some quality time with you, of course I'm happy." Camila smiled.
"You wanted the beach, here's the beach." Lauren smiled before opening her car door and walking towards Camila's side.
"After you." Lauren smiled.
"The skies are darker." Camila frowned.
"Well, I told you we could just stay at your house and just relax there." Lauren chuckled.
"That wouldn't be relaxing if it mean seeing Mom and Dad nagging us about random stuffs." Camila chuckled.
"They're fun parents Camz." Lauren chuckled.
"If we stayed on mine, you'd hear tons of questions and even ideas on how we should date." Lauren laughed, gently guiding the brunette down.
Just before they could reach a certain spot they wanted to lay in, they heard the rain crashing on top of the waves.
"Shit." Lauren cursed.
"Come on Camz." Lauren chuckled holding Camila's hand.
Instead of going to the car directly, the two of them stayed at the shed nearby. Beside it was a huge building, as if it was some sort of hotel or whatsoever.
"You okay?" Lauren asked, looking at a silent Camila.
"I should've listened." Camila frowned, Lauren gave her a small chuckle before leaning in to hug her bestfriend of 4 years.
