Dominic
"Oh, Dom don't stop!" She shrieked beneath me as my phone started to buzz on the side table.
One glance at the screen showed a number I didn't know. I let it go to voicemail as I grabbed her throat and squeezed just hard enough to see her gasp for breath. "Don't call me that," I seethed down in her ear.
I railed into her harder, releasing my hold on her throat. The ringing stopped as she screamed. Her body showing obvious signs that she was about to reach her peak. I pulled out slapping her pussy. "I'm not even close. I thought you were good at this? Didn't you promise to please me? Isn't that what you were here for?" I asked nearly in disgust at how she begged to lay with me but failed to live up to her promises. Monica always dreamt of being my queen. It's really too bad that's all just a dream that will live and die in her head. She's not fit to be my queen. She's barely adequate to warm my bed.
Her lip began to quiver, but she bit down on it just as my pone began to ring again. I glared down at the repulsive display of emotion. She knew what she was getting herself into. She has no one to blame but herself. I answered on the last ring holding a finger up to tell her to be quiet.
"Speak," My voice came out as usual, steady and cold as ice.
"Hello, this is Detective Bradenton and I have a Lennix Mancini requesting to speak with a Dominic Romano," the shaky man said from the other line.
My usual calm expression was replaced with one of surprise, "Put her on." What would my dear little cousin be calling me for? The last I heard; she didn't want anything to do with this side of family matters. Maybe one of her boyfriend's got her into trouble. I'd kill them slowly.
I climbed off the bed and slipped on a pair of sweats before walking toward my office.
There was a shuffling on the line before I heard her voice.
"Nic, I'm sorry if I disturbed you, but I have a problem." She sounded panicked for a moment and that had me on edge. It doesn't matter that she wasn't in the family business, Lennix has always held her shit together. Maybe her babies are driving her mad with hysterics, but I don't think that's it given the situation.
"What's going on Lenni? You never call out of nowhere."
"It's bad, Nic. The police aren't wanting to let me go and Jax is in the hospital. I need to see him, but they won't let me go. An attorney would take too long, and Jaxon is hurt. The charges... oh my god. I can't deal with this right now and this stupid fucking detective seems to have it out for me!" The last sentence ended on a growl and it was then that I understood the weight of her current predicament. One of her partners was hurt in the hospital and for whatever reason this moron with a badge had it out for her. It was probably thanks to her bloodline being tied closely with mine. The name Mancini hitting the headlines along side the Romano name for generations.
"Calm down, Lenni. What charges are you being held on?" I asked rolling my eyes. As if she could ever be in any real trouble. She's as squeaky clean as they come. Not even a speeding ticket. Fucking sickening.
She took a deep breath before the most surprising words met my ear, "Two counts of Murder."
I paused in my step and blinked baffled at what I was hearing.
"Did I hear that right?" I smirked as I opened the door to my office. "Sweet, pure, little Lenni got her hands dirty?" I teased.
"This is not the time, Nic!" her voice held a bite to it that I knew all too well was just the trait of all the women in our family, but I couldn't let it pass unrectified. I am next in line to take over the family after all and no one, I do mean no one, is permitted to show me any level of disrespect. Most people would cower in fear before saying a word out of line to me, but here we are. She's lucky she's family or I'd have her tongue cut from her mouth and fed to her in bite size pieces.
"You will control your tone when speaking to me, family or not! I do not have to help you! I'd rather not, actually. As a matter of fact, I could make your choice between your little boy toys an easy one. Lucca would love to pay Jaxon a little visit. Which hospital was he at again? Aren't you still in Austin?" My tone went colder by the word, ending on a vicious smile. I knew Lucca would jump at the chance. It's no secret to anyone, other than Lennix, that Lucca has always had a thing for her. It would be a privilege for him to have permission to dispatch with her playthings and bring her back where she belongs.
"NO! You keep him out of this and keep your goons on their choke chain!" She would appear brave to anyone else. Anyone who didn't know her, but I've learned to read her as well as anyone else I've come in contact with like an open book. Her breath caught in her throat. It shook for only a split second. Her command was a plea. I knew it. She knew it.
"Then you will lower your tone, Lennix Alessandra Mancini, and speak with the respect I am due."
No words came for a moment as I listened to her draw another deep breath to compose herself. Then, "I'm sorry, Nic. What do you want in exchange for your help?"
I scratched my chin looking at the family photo taken a few years back with the whole family that sits on my desk. "Your children will join the 'family' when they are of age. They will start their training at... what do you think is a fair age? Ten?"
"No, Nic. Please. Anything else." She whispered.
I want the twins. They are the blood of my blood and it is their birthright to come into the fold on their sixteenth birthday. Even their grandmother and grandfather were in the family business. Our grandfathers were brothers after all. But for some reason, the Mancini sons felt they were above getting their hands dirty and my father, for as strong as he is of a leader, let it slide since they only ever had daughters. I don't carry that same misogynistic view of the women only taking care of the men and men doing all of the dirty jobs alone. No matter the gender, a set of twins in my ranks trained in my methods would be something to behold. Twins in our family are incredibly rare.
"Fine" I responded thoughtfully, "I want information on a client your company does business with." I'll have the twins in due time. They will come to me on their own and my darling little cousin will have nothing left to say on the matter. I always get what I want. They will be mine too. I will just have to be patient.
I heard her release a grateful sigh. "Who's the client?"
Smiling to myself, I respond "He's a person of interest, Kiser Vaughn."
"The sweets distributor?" She asked in surprise.
Rolling my eyes at her naivety. She has no idea just how deep she and her family has always been no matter how hard they try to shake the stigma and ties of our lineage "The gang leader. He is a drug lord. The Candyman."
