Fayth POV
The drive to the movies was quiet. After that talk with my dad I had a lot to think about.
"What's gotten into you? You've never been so cruel to anyone. This isn't how I raised you." My father's voice held contempt and disappointment I've never heard from him directed to me and my actions.
I crossed my arms like a protective shield across my chest "you don't understand. He started it."
He cut me with a look that told me to shut up. "I understand enough to know there's nothing that would make me speak like that to either of you. You're family. Whatever this is that has you snapping at every little thing, I suggest you burry it! Life is too short and words can't be taken back once you say them. Grow up Fayth or so help me I will cut you off."
My mouth dropped open. Was he serious? "But-"
"No buts, Fayth. You two need to fix whatever this is or your credit cards, trust fund, and account will be frozen until I see a change." The look in his eyes was hard. He's never threatened to cut me off before. Hell, I've never even been grounded and here he was holding it all over my head.
He wouldn't even let me explain, but did I really want to explain? How could I?
'But daddy he lied to me, he touched me, he broke my heart telling his god awful ex that I was a mistake and then turned around claiming to love me?'
How could I explain my feelings?
'He's always been like a best friend, a brother to me, but now I'm confused because my body lights up with a craving for his touch like fire seeking out timber to burn the world down.'
No. That is something I can't explain to him. I've barely admitted it to myself. It's wrong, but that kiss...
it felt like home.
It felt right.
I'm so screwed.
"I'm sorry, dad. I will do better and I'll apologize to Blain. It won't happen again." I wasn't sure if this was a lie or not, but I had to give him something, my future depends on it.
We got our tickets and walked in to get our seats when arms wrapped around me from behind and a deep familiar voice whispered in my ear.
"We just keep running into each other."
Axel.
I turn in his arms to look up into his eyes with a big smile.
"Hey! what are you doing here?" I asked with pure excitement.
The night I spent with him was amazing. He's really a funny guy. He was respectful and caring. He held me when I cried, wiping my tears away, and made me laugh. Most of the night was filled with just driving and listening to music, but at one point he took me to his secret spot. It's an old abandoned roller skate rink and we had so much fun skating and dancing to music. Acting like kids. It was perfect.
He brushed my hair back behind my ear smiling down at me "Ren invited me and some friends, but he didn't say you would be here."
I looked over at Ren as he walked down towards his seat. He just smirked at me. What is he up to? I shrugged it off.
Grabbing Axel's hand I pulled him towards the seats "sit with me?" I asked. I'm so happy Ren thought to invite him. After that night Axel has become a really good friend. Let's not forget to mention, he is so fucking hot! Like damn! He may look tough and domineering, but he is a giant child in the best of ways when he's with me.
