Cory and I were sitting at our desks, Mr. Feeny walks in.
Cory's playing with a papaya
"Mr. Matthews.. where did you get that papaya?" Mr. Feeny asks
"From home." Cory says "is there a problem?" Cory asks
"I've got my eye on you." Mr. Feeny says
Mr. Feeny turns to Mr. Turner
"Hey, George what's up?" Mr. Turner asks
"Well, I just wanted to be sure you knew that the Hunter boy missed his history test this morning." Mr. Feeny says
"He what?" Mr. Turner says in shock, Cory gets up and so do I
"That's my fault, my fault. I was supposed to tell you that Shawn had a serve case of, uh..." Cory says
"Help me out here." Cory says
"Sloth?" Mr. Feeny suggests
"Yes! Hong Kong sloth." Cory says
"That's it." Mr. Turner says and walks out of the classroom
"Not your best work, Mr. Matthews." Mr. Feeny says
"This is why I don't help you two idiots." I said
School The next day The hallway
Shawn was here. We were by the phone
"Hong Kong sloth?" Shawn questions, he was standing next to the phone so I stood next to him while Cory was sitting on the bench
"Well, Feeny came up with the sloth, but I added the Hong Kong part." Corysays
"And I called you both idiots." I smiled
"When don't you?" Shawn sarcastically says
"Turner didn't even want to talk about it, he's all 'Hunter tomorrow you're seeing the new guidance counselor.' I'll tell you one thing, though Shawn Hunter is not going to waste an hour of his life listening to some bald-headed, long winded, leisure suit wearing know it all."' Shawn says walking away from the phone
A lady who looks to be in her late 20s or early 30s walks up behind him
"Oh my name is on the door. They didn't have to do that." The lady says, she sounds so excited and happy
"You're the new guidance counselor?" Cory asks
"Hi. I'm Devon Collins." The lady introduces herself
"Hi. Shawn Hunter. Guide me." Shawn says, Miss. Collins end up backing up while her and Shawn were shaking hands where I was
Later Shawn ended up going in with Miss. Collins room to talk.
