Shawn's POV: School Chemistry "Don't forget lab reports by the end of the day. No extensions. No expectations. Any sad story you can try. I'm always up for a laugh." Dr. Sorrell says
I turn to Cory, who I sit next to at the lab station
"Did you do your paper?" I asked
Vanessa walks over to us
"No. You?" Cory asks
"I didn't even know there was one." I said
"So what do we tell Sorrell?" I asked
"The truth." Cory says
"That aliens abducted us?" I asks
"And ate our papers." Cory
"So I take it neither of you did the homework." Vanessa says
"Shut up." I said to Vanessa
"Cor, good. We got our story straight." I said to Cory
Cory, and I get up from our seats All of us walk over to Dr. Sorrell who was standing outside the door while Tommy stood on the inside of the classroom. We were behind Tommy
Vanessa's POV: "No, no, Tommy. When I said exceptions I didn't mean you. You rest that touchdown throwing arm of yours. Turn your paper in... by the end of football season." Dr. Sorrell says
"I play basketball, too." Tommy says
"Well, then just forgot about it." Dr. Sorrell says to Tommy
Tommy walks away and the boys step up to Dr. Sorrell
"Hey, Dr. Sorrell?" Shawn asks
"No." Dr. Sorrell replies
The boys walk away from him closer to the lab seats
"You know what? Why don't I handle this because Dr. Sorrell and I have the kind of close knit relationship that goes way behind student-teacher. I mean, we are very tight." Cory says
Cory walks up to Dr. Sorrell
That night
The boys dragged me to the school. They brought a flashlight.
"He didn't even know my name." Cory says, climbing into the window
Shawn made me go next and I jumped in the window right after Cory and then Shawn jumped in after me
"What are you so upset about?" Shawn asks
"Oh I don't know could it be staying up all night to finish my paper? Could it be breaking into the school so my paper is not late? Could it be losing half my pants on the barbed wire?" Cory vents
