Vanessa's POV:
"Say you could pick any superhero to be your dad. Who would you choose?" Cory asks Shawn and I
"Batman, no question. Live in a cool cave, borrow the Batmobile." I said
"He lets Robin hang out with him and play with all his stuff. And Robin's not even his real kid. He's his ward." Shawn says
"Whatever" I mumbled
"Batman? Is he faster than a speeding bullet? I don't think so. Is he more powerful than a locomotive?" Cory says, shaking his finger
"Uh-uh. I'd want Superman." Cory says
"Sees through walls. You'd never get away with anything." Shawn points out
"Yeah, Cor, you wouldn't get away with nothin'" I said
"'I'd like to have Superman for a dad." Cory says.
"Hey, there's Minkus." Shawn says, pulling out his water gun and squirting Minkus in the head
"Ow." Minkus says
"Whoa! The 2000-X Hydro-Saturator!" Cory and I say in sync
"Careful. If Feeny sees this baby on school grounds, he'll snag it, and I'll have to sit out the water wars." Shawn says
Ellis sits down next to us
"Gentlemen, and lady, meet the Hydro-Sat 3000-Z. Blow your head clean off." Ellis says pulling out his squirt gun
"The 3000? That's not even supposed to come out till Christmas." Cory says
"I know a guy." Ellis says, squirting Minkus in his head
"You really shouldn't do that." Minkus warns them, putting his book down and standing up
" What, are you gonna melt?" Shawn jokes
"Are you a witch?" I joked
"No." Minkus says opening a case and taking a huge water gun out, then turning to Cory, Ellis, Shawn, and I
"I'm going to retaliate." Minkus says, Ellis holds up his water gun, ready to shoot Minkus; Minkus holds up his too
"Go ahead...make me wet." Minkus says in a threatening and serious voice
Ellis puts down his gun
"Wise choice" Minkus says in the same tone
"Ah, who needs one of those?" Cory says, getting up to fill a water balloon at the water fountain "For your information, a well-placed water balloon can give you just as much splash for your cash." Cory says continuing what he was talking about, he began to fill up the water balloon.
