School 
Hallway 
Shawn and I were at our lockers when Cory comes up to us
"Shawn tell me about your weekend. A lot of dates I bet, huh?" Cory asks 
"Who counts?" Shawn jokes 
"Six." Shawn says 
"I had a dates this weekend too. I wasn't impressed with any of them." I said 
"Nessa, I love you but you're like a sister so I really don't want to hear about it." Cory says 
"Shawn I want you to tell me about them. Every single one. Tell me like your life depended on it." Cory says 
"Cory, I'm no rocket Scientologist but, uh... I'm sensing there's something wrong." Shawn says 
"What makes you think something's wrong? Does my life have to be in a horrible, boring rut to ask you how your weekend was? C'mon. Throw a bone to your buddy." Cory rambles
"no! You doubled with your folks again." Shawn says
"Cory we've told you not to do that." I said
"Only on Friday and Saturday. But Sunday it was just me and Topanga at the mall." Cory says 
Shawn and I nod
"Yep. She bought me slacks." Cory says 
"Oh, Cory, I think you have a problem." Shawn says 
"Yeah I think so, too." Cory says 
"Cory maybe do more hip, cool things." I said 
"But you-you my friend are in luck. 'Cause c'mon. What am I the world's biggest expert on?" Shawn says to Cory as we walked away from our lockers 
"Really not anything." Cory says
"Ok, ok, but I do know a lot about love and it sounds to me that you and Topanga are in a slump." Shawn says 
"I agree with Shawn for once." I said 
"No, no, we're terrific Shawn, and Vanessa. It's just- it's me. I've lost my edge. I'm not the same old dangerous Cory." Cory says walking behind me and Shawn
Shawn puts his arm around my shoulder
"Yeah. There's been talk." Shawn says sarcastically, I laughed 
"Really?" Cory asks 
"No!" Shawn says 
"Look here's your answer. 'Kay I got a special invite to a dance at Hamilton high." Shawn says 
"Hey I did too!" I said, Shawn smiles at me
"Why don't you come with me? Wear your new slacks." Shawn says to Cory
