ミ★ ( something wicked, act one ) ★彡Tyler doesn't often keep secrets from his twin. He's bad at it—terrible, in fact. She sees right through him and can just tell when he's lying to her; apparently he has a tell, but she won't tell him what it is so he can't work on not giving himself away. Sometimes Tyler is convinced that his twin knows things about him before he's even aware of it himself. But, this is a secret he has to keep to himself; because he isn't sure how he's going to tell her about their uncle without any sort of evidence to back up his ridiculous claims. If Tyler told Rhea that their uncle was a goddamn werewolf, she'd admit him to the nearest mental institution and leave him there. He's been stewing over this information for days now, trying to form some sort of explanation that it wasn't possible and he had drank too much that night.
Mason wasn't helping either. He's avoiding him. They both know what he saw—and that he was a werewolf that transformed on the night of the full moon—but he won't discuss it, or answer any questions he has about it. He's not sure why and he's contemplating just telling Rhea and seeing what she says about it. Maybe being admitted won't be the worst idea, maybe it'll give him some peace of mind.
Tyler had been following Mason around the house all day, waiting for the perfect moment to approach him until he noticed that he was getting ready for something. He realises if it isn't now it'll be never and he gathers up the courage to walk into his room and just outright ask him, "Hey, Mason, got a second?"
Mason shakes his dead, "No, man, barbecue at Jenna Sommers' house."
Tyler groans at his avoidance and his jaw clenched, "Come on, man; give me two minutes, alright? You can't keep dodging me. I'm freaking out over here!"
Mason stops what he was doing to turn to him, "Tyler, what do you want me to say man? Yes, I turned into wolf. No, it's not gonna happen to you or Rhea." He finally admits, and Tyler is filled with relief that he wasn't completely crazy.
"How do you know that?" Tyler asks skeptically.
"Because you two aren't gonna trigger the curse. Your dad didn't know anything about any of this, neither did I until it happened to me." Mason explains.
The mention of a trigger makes Tyler straighten up, "How does it get triggered?" He asks him. If it doesn't just happen, he needs to know what triggers it so he can avoid doing it and having to turn into a werewolf.
Mason only pats Tyler's shoulder, "Ignorance is bliss, trust me."
Tyler narrows his eyes onto him, "You blow back into town with some supernatural family secret and you expect me not to ask questions?" He snaps.
