Rhea licked the remnants of blood off of the side of her mouth as she walked up the long driveway of the Salvatore Boarding House. Her day was looking extra boring before she heard the wonderful news that the men that had attacked her as a young teen were being transferred to another facility—one that had more protection considering he was being attacked and jumped themselves in prison.
Apparently other prisoners don't exactly like rapists.
If there was anything Rhea knew, it was that when prisoners are being transferred, it is the most vulnerable stage. She really found it ironic considering she could've just walked straight into the facility and killed them before anyone could blink but she decided to stay away so she couldn't trigger any bad memories. Now her emotions weren't connected to those memories and it was the best time as ever to finally get her revenge. She knew that she couldn't let him get the chance of freedom ever—the prison system wasn't the best so she knew the possibility that a period of time of good behaviour could shave a few years off of his sentence. Rhea wouldn't let him get the chance to do it again to someone else.
During her recovery, she often thought about what her revenge would be. She thought that seeing him in prison, or even once they be executed by the law would be enough, but, once she became more in touch with the animalistic side of her, she knew it wouldn't ever be enough. She wanted to feel his blood on her hands. She wanted him to feel the same way she did when she was being blackmailed with her worst nightmare at the time; she wanted them terrified for his life and she wanted to feel that life leaving his body. Seeing him executed by a complete stranger or by lethal injection just wouldn't cut it.
It had to be her that delivered his fate. She deserved that much.
The complete euphoric feeling she felt when the life left his eyes because of her was something she would never forget. The real her was finally free of fear all because of her strength. It was worth the travel time and worth her destroyed clothes. Seeing his fear was enough to make her smile for the next twenty years.
Rhea brought her knuckles the large wooden door, knocking on it lightly since she didn't need to hit it too hard—she could smell Caroline and Elena inside and they would be able to hear it better than Bonnie could. Within seconds, Elena answered the door and her eyes widened at the sight of Rhea, "What are you doing here?" Elena asked, alarmed by her presence, "I thought you were still out of town." The last she had seen her friend was at the Miss Mystic Pageant briefly before she disappeared off of the face of the earth. No one could get in touch with her and it seemed as if it was her go to thing to run off while her humanity was gone.
