All good things come to an end, and the night ended earlier than expected for everyone when the night took a turn for the worse. After drinks, Kol had attacked Matt, only for it to end by Damon snapping his neck in front of everyone. Apparently, he was acting out after Elena hurt his feelings earlier and he picked a fight with an Original as a result of it, causing everyone to be sent home so the Mikaelsons could clean the mess up that was created by Kol in the first place considering that he and Rebekah planned to kill Matt to hurt Elena, according to Elijah. They should've expected some sort of turmoil to happen considering the history between the Original family and everyone else in Mystic Falls wasn't exactly stable.

Elijah had snuck into her room the night before after he had his scolding from his mother and the two had shared a bed for the night, the Original claiming he didn't want her to be alone or away from him with his suspicions about his family—or, more specifically, his mother. Rhea didn't mind since it ended up being the best sleep she has ever had; Elijah seemed to just have that presence that made her feel safe and secure.

When she woke, she was refreshed now more than ever, "Morning, stalker." She teased to the Original that was already awake.

Elijah groaned at the nickname, "I don't like that name." He told her with a frown.

The hybrid raised her eyebrow, "What would you prefer I call you—since you like to sneak into my room all the time like one?" Rhea chuckled at her joke and she heard Elijah scoff at her but didn't respond, only pulling her close towards his chest.

The two were silent for a moment, just enjoying each other's company before Elijah spoke, "I told my family about us." He confessed and Rhea halted, "I'm sorry. After what happened with Matt last night I didn't want to risk it if any of them decided to come after you."

Rhea let out a sigh and turned to face him, "It's okay, I understand." Although she was a little annoyed that they found out about everything before she did, she understood the circumstances. His family was unpredictable and it was best they knew before something happened. "Can you just tell me now? I don't need some fancy dinner—I don't care about any of that. I just want to know."

"Okay, if it's that is what you wish." Elijah cleared his throat, "A thousand years ago, when Niklaus and I were feuding over Tatia, our mother casted a spell to end it. She searched to see if there was any way to end the feuding in hopes that we would choose for Tatia since she would not make a decision herself. When she did, it was found that my soul was bound to another—yours. She was right to do this because I had stopped fighting for Tatia for a time and Niklaus and I rekindled, but, she still chose me in the end." He started to explain. Rhea stayed listening, remembering at the dinner party when they told the story of both brothers feuding over Tatia, "I was losing hope in finding you because I was naive enough to think you existed in my human lifetime, or I was thinking that my mother had completely made it up. So, I chose to fall in love Tatia against my better instincts."
