PART TWO
The Third Task

" y/n's point of view "

THE DAY OF the third task was largely a blur. Arthur, Molly and Bill Weasley came down to Hogwarts to visit Harry before the task, so they were with us during breakfast.

The anxiety everyone was feeling during the day absolutely had impacted me too, because I had no idea what was going on all day until we were walking down to the Quidditch pitch for the third and final task.

"D'ya think it involves flying or something?" George suggested as we went down.

"I don't think so." Said Lewis, pointing to the pitch.

We all looked over to see quite literally the biggest maze ever extending past the pitch.

"Holy smokes." Lee's mouth dropped open. "Wait 'til Oliver hears about this."

"Oh, I'm sure he'll be just delighted." Fred joked as we entered the Quidditch pitch and went up the stairs to find our seats.

"Um, you guys go ahead. I wanna talk to Harry." I told them and let go of Fred's hand. "Save my seat?"

Fred nodded and I was quickly heading back down the stairs and made my way into the Quidditch change rooms beneath the bleachers.

"Harry." I said his name and he spun around, the anxiety on his face seemingly washing away, at least for a moment.

"Y/N." He sighed in relief and took a few steps forward to hug me. I put my arms around him and held him close.

"Be careful out there, okay, buddy?" I told him and he nodded. "I mean it."

"I'll do my best." Harry forced a smile and I put my hands on his shoulders.

"You'll be fine, Harry. I'm sure of it." I reassured him and he nodded.

"Yeah. Yeah, sure."

"Harry." I put my hands on the sides of his face and made him look at me before lowering my hands back to his shoulders. "You're going to be okay. You've got this."

I then looked back at Cedric, who had his back turned.

"Cedric," I called and he turned around. "Don't kill him, okay?"

"I'll do my best." He grinned and I shook my head.

"Good luck, both of you." I said before turning around and making my way back to my seat.

I squeezed past a few people on the stairs and took my place next to Fred a moment later.

"Hey." I greeted him and he smiled.

"Hi."

"Did I miss anything?" I asked.

"Nothing important. Just George and Lewis arguing over whether Harry or Cedric would win."
