Chapter Twenty Seven

I got scared and knew, like the werewolf attack, I couldn't tell Eric about it. I burned the note and paced around the room. Eric walked in and smiled at me. I smiled back and tried not to think about the note. He walked over to me and kissed me. I kissed him back and he smiled into the kiss. He pulled away and I yawned.

"We need to spend more time together." He stated and I nodded in agreement.

"How about tomorrow we spend the day together. I need to give the people known as my parents my answer." I replied.

"We could always do something else." He wiggled his eyebrows jokingly. I laughed and pushed him playfully.

"Oh my God, Eric! You're disgusting!" I yelled playfully.

"What? Every growing teen boy needs it." He said innocently and I laughed again.

"Eric stop it." I shouted playfully and he chuckled at himself.

"I'm just playing unless you want to then I'm not playing." He replied. I laughed and ran away from him. I grabbed clothes and ran to the bathroom. I locked the door and I heard two knocks then Eric went. "Kayla." Knock, "Kayla." I laughed as I got changed. The knocking stopped and I walked out of the door. Eric was out of sight. I walked out and looked around.

"Eric," I called out. "Are you still in here?" Something tackled me to the ground and I shrieked in surprise. Eric was on top of me and had an mischievous look on his face. "Eric, what are you doing?" I asked and he tilted his head.

"Are you ticklish?" He questioned me and my eyes got big. I shook my head quickly and Eric's smile got bigger. "I think by the way your eyes are getting the answer to that is yes." He started to tickle me and I laughed so hard. My eyes got watery and I laughed until I was gasping for air. "Say you love me."

"Okay, I-I love you!" I stated and he stopped tickling me. He leaned down and kissed me. He got up and pulled me up with him. His eyes grew red and I looked at him weirdly. "You okay?" he nodded and I thought nothing else of it. I heard a knock at the door and walked to it. Abigail stood there with Savage. She hugged him and kissed his face.

"Good night Savage." She said and sent him in. She waved goodbye and skipped to her room. Savage looked so tired he went straight to his bed and laid down. I smiled and got in the bed. Eric got in and faced me. I put my head on his chest and heard nothing. I smiled and just laid there. I eventually fell asleep.

When I woke up Eric was rubbing my arm. I looked up and his eyes were red again. "Eric why are your eyes red?"

"Well when vampires find their mate, they have to you know, in order for the vampire side of me to be contained. If that side comes out he will not hold back." He explained.

"Its not painful right?" I asked and he shook his head. "Good because I'm to young for that." I explained and he nodded.

"Don't worry I understand." He replied and I sighed in relief. We got up and got read for the day.

(A/N there will be nothing dirty in this book at all. I can barely right kissing, let alone that. Sorry I'm innocent and want to keep this story PG-13. Any way back to the story.)

We got done getting ready and Eric smiled. "So, I was thinking about a picnic." He said and I nodded. Savage jumped up and stretched.

"Savage do you want to go with us or stay here and play with Abigail?" I asked.

'Stay here if you don't mind.' He answered and I nodded. Eric and I walked out of the room. We went to the car, he already had a basket in the back. I got in the car and he did as well. We drove for what seemed like forever. He finally pulled over and smiled at me.

"This is where we get out." He stated. I looked around and saw only woods. "We have to walk the rest of the way." He explained. I got out and nodded. He grabbed my hand and pulled me along. The basket was in his other hand. He pulled me until we came to a cliff. I looked around in awe and he smiled at my reaction. There were wild flowers everywhere and when I looked over the cliff there was a beach at the bottom.

"This is beautiful!" I exclaimed and Eric nodded.

"Just like you." He answered an I pushed him.

"Stop it you're making me blush." I said while hiding behind my hair. He moved my hair out of my face and smiled. We sat down and had our little picnic. "We have to go to my parents castle. I need to give them my answer." I stated and he nodded.

"Come on then." He stated and grabbed my hand. He pulled me to the car, we got in and he drove to my parents castle. I walked up and knocked on the door,

"Mom! Dad!" I yelled and they came down with a smile on their faces.

"Kayla, have you made your decision?" My father asked.

"Yeah, I will take the throne of the Fae." I announced.
