Chapter Forty Nine

I woke up with my head on Eric's chest. His arm wrapped around me like a protective barrier to anything that wanted to hurt me. I looked up at him as his eyes started to twitch. He eventually opened his eyes to look at me. He smiled and bent his head down to kiss me. I kissed him as I wrapped my arms around him. I yawned when we had pulled away. "I need a shower." I stated. I was too lazy to get up and go get one. Eric smiled at me again as he got up.

"Okay, then I'll get one after you and we'll do something today." He suggested.

"Sure, but not anything time consuming because I would like to get something done today." I stated.

"Fine." He said and I got a shower. When we were both done with our showers we went downstairs and I ate breakfast as I was eating I noticed the bacon tasted weird. I sat there and had a feeling that I was going to throw up. Eric looked over at me with concern as I jolted up and ran to the bathroom. I started to throw up in the toilet when I heard someone come in and pull my hair back. "Are you okay, Kayla?"

"I'm the only one that ate right?" I asked. He nodded and I sighed in relief as I started throwing up again. Eric rubbed my back as I lost my breakfast. When I was done I looked up at Eric. "The bacon must have been bad make sure no one else eats it." He nodded as he called one of the servants into the room.

"Go throw that bacon in the kitchen away. Also get me a wet cloth." He ordered and the servant nodded. She came back five minutes later. Eric wiped my face up and threw the cloth away. He picked me up and walked out the bathroom. I put my head in the crook of his neck as he walked to our room. Eric put me in the bed and covered me up. I covered my face up and heard Eric rummage through the closet. He comes up and helps me get dressed because I was too weak to move. He got dressed in comfortable clothes then got in the bed with me. I laid my head on his chest as he rubbed my back. He tangled out legs together as I started to fall asleep. I woke up about six hours later to see Eric watching TV.

"You don't have to stay in here with me if you don't want to." I told him and he looked down at me with a smile on his face.

"Of course I do. My poor mate is so sick she needs someone here to help her feel better." He stated and kissed my forehead. "I'm going to order some Chinese food."

"They have that in the vampire kingdom?" I asked in an astonished tone. He laughed and nodded as he picked his phone. He ordered us Lo Mein and they told him it would be about twenty minutes before it got there. We sat and watched TV while we waited for it to get there. One of the male servants brought the food up to us. I ate all of my food then realized that was a mistake. I should have known better, when you're sick you're supposed to eat slowly. I jumped out of the bed and ran to the bathroom. I threw up everything I had ate. Eric came in and put my hair up in a ponytail for me I kept throwing up as I heard Eric starting a bath. When I was done Eric closed his eyes as I pulled off my clothes. He helped me into the tub and I laid back against the tub as I just sat there relaxing.

"If you are still throwing up tomorrow I'm taking you to the hospital." He stated.

"I don't like hospitals though." I whined.

"Too bad, you're too sick to worry about that." He stated and I sat there for one hour before I got out of the bathtub and got dressed for bed. I laid down as he got in the bed with me. I put my head on his chest and he rubbed my back which felt really good. I drifted off into sleep as I heard Eric start to hum.

The next morning I woke up and felt so much better. Eric was playing with my hair so I looked up at him. He smiled down at me as he got up out of bed. He pulled me out of bed and we walked down to breakfast. I didn't want to eat anything, but Eric forced me to. I put a piece of watermelon in my mouth, but immediately spit it out due to the horrible taste.

"I can't eat anything!" I shouted in frustration.

"I'm calling the doctor to set up an appointment." Eric stated and got up. Savage trotted into the room still in dog form. He sat in front of me then transformed into his human form.

"You're parents are ready to meet you. We will be leaving tomorrow. Pack enough clothes for three days, oh and bring Eric your parents are dying to meet him," He said then changed back int his dog form. He left the room as Eric came in.

"Why do you look like that?" He asked.

"Savage just told me that I'm meeting my parents tomorrow." I explained he nodded and picked me up.

"Lets go. I am taking you to the doctor." He told me then took me to the car. He started up the car and we drove to the hospital. We arrived after there about twenty minutes. We walked in they did some tests when they took my blood almost passed out. We sat in the room and waited for the test results to come back. After an hour the doctor came in and she had a warm smile on her face.

"Congratulations, you're pregnant!" She told me
