Chapter Twenty

There was a knock on the door and I jumped up. Eric chuckled at me and got up. He walked over to the door and opened it. I heard a mans voice and I saw Eric nodding. "Yes, of course we'll be down." He stated and closed the door. He turned to me and smiled. "Kayla, we have a dinner to attend." Eric stated and went to his closet. He opened it up and pulled out a black button up shirt, a blood red vest, and a nice pair of blue jeans. I sighed and walked over to my closet. I pulled out a green blouse and a nice pair of black jeans. I went in the bathroom and got dressed.

When I walked out Eric was standing there waiting for me. I smiled at him and he smiled back. "Okay, I'm ready to go." I said and Eric smiled back. He looped my arm with his and we walked down to the dining hall. When we arrived there were a lot of guests at a long rectangular table. I saw everyone I had met in the last few days except for three people Jack, Anna, and Natalie. Amanda looked up and saw me. She jumped up and ran over to me. Her blonde hair was pulled into a bun. She pulled me into a hug and I smiled. Behind her was Willow and she squealed when she saw me. I was pulled into another bone crushing hug. Lastly there was my newest friend Lilli. She pulled me into a gentle hug and sighed.

"I heard what Natalie did to you. I am so sorry I wasn't there to protect you." Lilli stated and I looked at her warmly.

"Lilli, it isn't your job to protect me." I replied and she looked like she wanted to tell me something.

"We all must talk later." She said and I nodded.

"If you are all done with your reunions, we should start this dinner now." Trent stated annoyed.

"Of course." I answered and we all sat down. Lucas sat at the head of the table and stared at me the entire time we ate.

"Now, you all must be wondering why I gathered you here." Lucas said and everyone nodded except for Eric and myself. "There is to be a wedding." Lucas explained. Eric and I looked at each other confused. "The wedding of Eric and Kayla." Everyone turned and looked at us shocked. There was whispers all around the table. I looked at Eric and he smiled at me sheepishly.

'Did you know this was going to happen?' I thought to Eric. He nodded and I stared at him sharply. 'We are going to talk later.'

"There is to be a celebration soon enough to congratulate the lucky two of their engagement." Lucas stated. "That is all everyone is dismissed. Anyone that Kayla and Eric decide to invite are welcome to stay." Lucas said and everyone left except for Lilli, Willow, Amanda, Alexander, Michael, and Trent. I looked at Eric and I turned to our friends.

"If you would excuse Eric and I for a moment." I said and grabbed Eric by his arm. "Eric, since when did we decide we were getting married?" I shouted.

"Since you decided to accept being my mate. Unless you've changed your mind." He yelled back at me. I sighed and looked at him.

"How many time do I have to tell you? I would never change my mind in that decision." I shouted. "You can't just go behind my back and make wedding arrangements. You didn't even propose and that is every girls dream. A girl doesn't want to be told that she is going to be married." I could tell he was growing angry, but I didn't care.

"Kayla, stop. You're making me mad." Eric stated in a low angry voice.

"I don't care. You've made me mad as well, or do you not care." I stated and Eric's eyes flashed red. One moment he was across the room the next I was being held up against the wall by my shoulders. He wasn't hurting me, but it still startled me. "Eric, calm down." I whispered and he stared at me with his red eyes. I could tell he was furious and I knew it was my fault. I had to get him to calm down. I put my hand on his face and he sighed. His eyes turned back to green and he realized I was up against the wall. I groaned because I had a headache from my head hitting the wall.

"I'm sorry." Eric stated and I shook my head. He let go of my shoulders and turned his head.

"Don't worry about it, you didn't hurt me." I stated. "Plus you warned me and told me you were getting mad." He sighed and looked back at me. He pulled me into a hug and sighed in my hair.

"I still put my hands on you out of rage, and I should have never done that." He said into my hair. I kept my arms wrapped around him.

"Eric, you know I would love to marry you, but I will only be seventeen in two weeks. If we could hold of announcing the wedding to anyone else until then that would be great." I explained.

"I understand and agree with you. I'm sorry for not proposing to you first." Eric stated and I laughed.

"Don't worry about it, I guess it was just never in my cards to begin with." I replied and Eric sighed. He pulled away from me and kissed my forehead.

"Come on, everyone went to bed. I think its time we do the same." Eric stated and I nodded. He grabbed my hand and pulled me to the bedroom. We changed and got into bed. He kissed my nose and I laughed. I put my head on his chest and fell asleep. I woke up and no one was there. I sat up and looked around. There was a knock at the door and I opened it to see Amanda, Lilli, and Willow. They all came into my room and were jumping up and down with excitement.

"What?" I asked and Amanda laughed.

"Nothing, just get dressed." Lilli stated and I nodded. I went to my closet and pulled out a black tank top and some green jeans. I changed and walked over to my bags when I was done. I opened my bag with all my most valued things and took out the Falling in Reverse hoodie Eric had given me. I put it on and walked back towards the girls.

"Okay I'm dressed. Now what is going on?" I asked and the girls shared a look.

"We are all going shopping!" Willow exclaimed.
