Chapter Forty One

I limped towards Eric hesitantly while I looked at Savage every couple seconds. "Eric, whats happened to you?" I questioned him. He chuckled at me while he slowly walked towards me as well.

"Wow, why do you care? I mean you're cheating on me anyway." He whispered in my ear when he got close enough to me.

"What on earth would make you think that?" I asked him. He grabbed my shoulders hard enough to make me wince in pain. I became scared, but didn't let it show on my face. Eric's eyes weren't red so I knew he wasn't in full vampire mode. I had no clue what was wrong with my mate and that made even more scared.

"Someone told me. I was heartbroken, but don't worry I've replaced you already." He told me with an evil smile. Tears started to fill my eyes as I looked down. His eyes softened, but his smile grew bigger. I got confused, but kept the look on my face.

"Eric, why would I cheat on you? You're my mate and I love you. I don't know who told you, but they were lying." I told him. Eric started to laugh as he raised his hand to strike me, but someone knocked themselves into him. It was Savage as a human, I could tell he was struggling to stand. Eric stood up his eyes were now blood red. I limped towards him slowly as Savage tried to grab a hold of me, but I shake him off. "Eric, you need to calm down. We need to talk this out."

"There's nothing to talk about, you've cheated on me! How could you do that to me?" He screamed. His eyes growing brighter and brighter. Savage was back in his dog form.

"Savage get out." I ordered. I could tell he wanted to protest but I shook my head. He bowed his head and walked out. "Okay, Eric. Tell me who did I cheat on you with?"

"Trevor." Eric gritted out of his teeth. I shook my head and went to walk closer, but Eric backed up. When he did this its like he had to force himself to.

"Eric, I never sheared on you. Let alone with Trevor, he is merely a friend. Also he cannot love anyone after his mate rejected him." I spoke to Eric calmly. "Now, who told you that I cheated on you?"

"Someone called with an anonymous tip." He said.

"Eric, that could have been Natalie." I explained. He turned around and his shoulder were moving up and down like he was crying. I walked over to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "Are you okay now?" I asked. Eric started to hysterically laugh as he pushed me roughly away. I heard someone banging against the door. I scooted away from Eric as he advanced on me.

"Oh, you poor thing. You thought that would help you." His mouth was evilly smiling at me while his eyes were pleading with me.

"Eric, calm down. This isnt you, someone has done something to you. Please calm down." I pleaded with him. He chuckled and bent down to eye level. His smile dropped as he looked deep in thought.

"Time to have a little fun." He said while trying to take off my shirt. "You can cheat on me, then that means you're no longer a virgin and we can have some fun." I started to cry as I tried to push him away. He pulled himself away hard. He was having an inner battle with himself. I got up as he hunched over in pain.

"Eric?" I asked. He looked up, his face was contorted into one of pain.

"Kayla, you need to run." He struggled to get out. I looked at him confused. "Someone's cast a spell on me. I know you didn't cheat on me, but right now you need to run because I can't control myself for much longer."

"I don't want to leave you." I told him as I tried to walk closer. He backed up and shook his head.

"No! Stay away from me I'm dangerous." He shouted.

"I'll find a way to break the spell." I promised. I tried to walk away, but my leg gave out. "Of course! Of all the times it has gave out!"

"Kayla, you need to go." Eric told me.

"I'm trying, but I can't walk." I told him. "Trevor break down the door." I yelled. The door broke and Trevor rushed in.

"Trevor take Kayla and get her out of here." Eric gritted out as the spell took back control. Trevor rushed over to me as Eric stood up with a sick smile on his face. Trevor picked me up as he was about to leave I heard Eric crying. I turned my head to look at him confused.

"Eric, you're not safe right now, I need to go. I never cheated on you and deep down you know that its true. You know that its a spell controlling you." I said as Trevor picked me up. Eric walked closer, spell or no spell, Eric was sad for me to go.

"Kayla, please don't leave me." He pleaded. I sighed confused and knew that I wouldn't be able to leave him. "I can forgive you for cheating on me. Just don't leave me." He cried while dropping to his knees. I started to cry and motioned for Trevor to walk over to Eric.

"Kayla, I don't think its the best idea. I mean he is under a spell right now." Trevor whispered. I looked up at Trevor then back down to Eric's hunched over form. He was really crying this time.

"I know, but he's my mate. I can't leave him." I told him. Trevor sighed as he put me down. I limped over to Eric the rest of the way. I sat beside him and wrapped my arms around him. I put my head on his back as he just sat there and cried.

So this chapter might be very confusing. Eric is under a spell and believes Kayla cheated in him. This causes him to be easily angered, but he still loves Kayla. The thought of her leaving him makes him want to die inside. That is why he acts so bipolar in this. Once again he is under a spell and he still loves Kayla, he just believes she really cheated on him with Trevor.
