Chapter Thirteen

"What?" Willow and I asked at the same time.

"Yeah, Kayla and I are dating each other." Eric said and smirked at me. He wrapped his arm around my waist. I sat there confused. "Making Natalie get upset was just a bonus. I am just so happy that Kayla is dating me."

"Wait so you aren't just trying to make Natalie jealous?" Willow asked and Eric shook his head. I didn't know what to do, so I just sat there with a shocked look on my face. "That's awesome you guys." Willow looked at her watch. "We better get going its almost night time and there is a full moon tonight." Eric's eyes got big and he nodded. Willow, Eric, and I got in the car. We sat the same way as we did on the way here. Willow put on the radio and started to tell the lyrics to the song. I laughed and joined in. The windows were rolled down and my hair whipped all around me. Willow pulled into the school parking lot and the sun was close to setting.

"Kayla get to the car quickly." Eric stated and I nodded.

"Bye Willow. I'll get your number from Eric later." I said as I got out of the car. I speed walked to the car and jumped in. Eric was talking to Willow when he looked at me through the window and smiled. He walked over to the car and got in.

"Do you want to go somewhere?" he asked as he started the car up.

"Uh, sure." I said and he smiled. He pulled out his phone and texted someone.

"Okay, ready?" He asked and I nodded. Eric pulled the car out of the parking lot. We drove for about ten minutes. I looked as the world outside the car flew by in a blur. "Kayla, we are going to a park. We are just going to hang out there for a little while. Then we will go to dinner."

"What about your parents?" I asked and he smiled at me.

"They work late tonight. They told me to make sure I got you fed and kept you occupied. He said as he parked in the parking lot of the park. { ;) }

"What is there to do at a park?" I questioned.

"So many things, we can swing, play on the equipment, or walk the trail." Eric replied.

"Lets play on the equipment." I stated and we walked over to it. "We are so childish."

"Yes, but I think that is good to have a little bit of immaturity." Eric explained. "I think if someone doesn't take a break and have fun every once in a while, their life must be miserable." I nodded in agreement and jumped up to play on the monkey bars. We stayed there for about thirty minutes, but had to leave because a park official told us too. We laughed and walked over to the car. He got in the drivers side and I was about to get in the car, when it felt like someone was watching me. I looked around but saw nothing. I shrugged and got in the car. Eric looked at me weirdly and I shook my head.

"Its nothing. Come on I'm hungry." I stated and Eric laughed.

"Nice to meet you hungry, my name is Eric." He said and I laughed. "What do you want to eat?." I shrugged and he looked at me.

"Anything is fine." I stated and he looked at me again. He sighed and shook his head. He started to drive and went to a Chinese restaurant. He parked and we got out of the car.

"You like Chinese right?" He asked and I nodded. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine, just thinking." I replied and he nodded. "I just want to eat." He laughed and grabbed my hand. Every time he grabbed my hand I felt electric currents run through it. He smiled at me and I blushed. "People are going to think we're dating."

"So, maybe I want us to date." Eric said and I blushed even harder.

"Stop, you keep making me think you would actually date me." I stated.

"Oh my God, Kayla! Do you not understand I do want to date you. I would love to date you." Eric confessed. I stared t him in shock.

"Um, okay. Go find a table I need to get some fresh air." I replied and started to walk outside. Eric nodded and went to find a table. Someone put their hand over my mouth. I started to struggle.

"If you don't stop struggling I will hurt you." A mans voice said in my ear. He backed us into an alley and threw me against a wall. Blackness started to come in my vision. I looked up and saw the man advancing on me. He looked normal an had black hair. The only thing different was his red eyes and his sharpened long canine teeth. I called out for help and someone jumped in front of me. By the clothes and hair color I could tell it was Eric. I couldn't see the front of him though. He snarled at the man and the man growled but bowed. "I am sorry I didn't know she was claimed by you. Your Highness." He stated and walked away with his head bowed. Eric didn't look at me.

"Eric, who was that and why did he call you highness?" I asked.

"I will answer that later. Are you okay?" Eric asked. I walked over to him and put a hand on his back. He turned his head away from me. "No Kayla, you will be scared of me."

"Eric, I know you would never hurt me on purpose." I said and he shook his head. "Please Eric." He looked at me and I gasped. He had red eyes instead of his normal green eyes and his canines were long like that man.
