~Two Years Later~
I was walking around the house when I heard a child scream. I was about to start running but heard the child laughing. I walked towards the sound and realized it was Hayden.
"Uncle Kaleb you got me!" I heard Hayden said while he laughed. Hayden was very advanced for his age. He talked in full sentences and he was very polite. I walked in and smiled at them.
As Hayden got older he started to develop his looks. He had my blonde hair and Eric's green eyes. I could tell he was going to be tall because he had long legs.
"What are you two doing in here?" I asked and their heads shot up. Kaleb smiled at me.
"We're playing tag." Kaleb told me. About a year ago I was finally able to convince Eric to let Kaleb go. Kaleb stayed true to his word and hasn't been mean towards anyone since. I smiled at the two once more. Hayden ran over to me and lifted up his arms. I picked him up and kissed him on the cheek.
"You having fun?" I asked. Hayden nodded as he kissed my cheek then hugged me tight. I set him down as he went back over to Kaleb. "Be careful and don't get into any trouble."
"Yes mommy." Hayden called as he ran off with Kaleb outside. I left and went to the kitchen. Trinity was in there with her baby girl. I smiled at her as I walked closer.
"How is my baby sister?" I asked as I came closer. She is the future heir to the Fae throne.
"She's a handful, but she's doing fine." Trinity told me. "Hector has ordered me to come home. I was actually on my way to look for you to tell you goodbye."
"When will you be back?" I asked. She shrugged her shoulders then kissed my cheek. I kissed my baby sister's head and they left. I sighed and went off in search for Eric. I walked into the living room and saw all of my friends. Trent and Lilli were officially a thing. They had been dating for the past year and they were almost as cute as me and Eric. Amanda had a boyfriend, but no one actually liked him. They put up with him for the sake of Amanda's happiness. Alexander was being his normal self playing video games. Someone jumped on my back and bit my neck.
"Best friend!" Willow yelled. I laughed as we fell to the ground.
"Get off of me." I wheezed out as she was sitting on my stomach. I laughed as Willow got up and pulled me with her. She walked and sat on the couch. "Have any of you guys seen Eric?" They all shook their heads as Willow and Amanda looked at each other with mischievous looks. I sighed and walked outside to the back yard. I saw Savage in his human form chasing Abigail. Abigail had just celebrated her seventh birthday last week. Savage was so happy to spend time with her, but he wasn't creepy about it. I heard the clopping of hooves coming towards me. I turned to see Tiron the leader of the Centaurs. He bowed to me in respect and placed his hand on his chest.
"Good evening Kayla." Tiron said as he came closer.
"Good evening to you too Tiron." I replied. He kept walking by when one of his men called him over for something important. The war between the Centaurs and the Fae ended six months after Hayden's birth. Hector and Tiron were tired of fighting plus Tiron wanted to be able to put his full attention on protecting me and Hayden. I walked back into the house when I heard someone knocking on the front door. I walked over and opened it to see my Dad.
"Hello Kayla. I came visit you guys and to see the dragon hatch today." My dad said as he walked through the door. He tried to start dating again, but apparently everyone he would go out with didn't like me or they were too boring. My father kissed my cheek as he entered. "Where is Hayden now that I think about it?"
"Hayden is out back with Kaleb and Savage is also out there with Abigail." I stated. My father nodded and walked towards the back of the castle. I was walking and saw Lucas. "Hey Lucas."
