Chapter Sixty

I sighed as I walked to the dungeons with Hayden in my arms. We had gone up to his room and got him. I was brought to Kaleb's cell at the very bottom of the dungeon. I was about to head in when Eric grabbed a hold of my shoulder.

"Will you be safe?" He asked and I nodded. "Do you think you should be taking Hayden in there?"

"Yes, maybe I can get Rick to let Kaleb out for a little." I explained. Eric sighed and nodded. We all walked in to the cell. Kaleb sat on a chair and he was bound to it.

"Oh, my sister finally came to see me?" Rick questioned me. I knew it was Rick because of the way he smiled. He looked in my arms to see Hayden. "And she brought along my nephew."

"Kaleb." I started to explain.

"Not Kaleb." He interrupted.

"Rick?" I asked and he nodded. He then began to laugh this caused Hayden to wake up. He started to cry and Rick immediately stopped laughing.

"Is he okay?" He asked and showed real concern.

"Kaleb?" I asked again and he shook his head. I was very confused at what was going on. "Why do you care?

"Well I am his uncle." Rick stated. I looked at him like I knew he was lying. "I don't know ever since you were four months pregnant I feel the need to protect him."

"Is that why you want to take him away from me?" I questioned. Rick sighed at me and shook his head.

"I don't want to take him. If he found out later then he would be so upset with me. He is way better with his parents than he is with me." Rick stated "All I wanted was for you to forgive me for kidnapping you."

"So you beat me up when I didn't." I stated.

"I apologize for that." He said. "But, like your mate I had a curse placed on me that made me easily angry." He looked at me with sad eyes. I handed Hayden over to Eric who was at the back of the room. I walked over to Rick and sat down in front of him. "I don't want to be locked up any more. I really am sorry for what I did." He explained. He started to hyperventilate as I put my hand on his shoulder.

"Okay Rick, calm down. I can understand why you did it, but you have to promise that if I let you go you won't hurt anyone." I explained. I heard Eric cough and I turned around to see him flash his eyes to red very quickly. "Let me go talk to Eric for a second." I stated and we walked out.

"You can't let him go." Eric said at the same time we walked out the door.

"He's my brother." I replied.

"No, I will not allow this." He stated.

"Its not your decision." I told him.

"Yes it is!" He roared. This caused Hayden to start to cry. I took him from Eric and tried to get him to calm down. I looked up to talk to Eric, but he was gone. I walked back into the cell.

"Kaleb, or Rick, whoever you are right now. I can't let you go at the moment. Eric doesn't like the idea very much. I'll make sure they aren't mean to you here and that they don't keep you tied up the entire time." I told him.

"Can I at least see my nephew?" He asked. I nodded and walked over to him. I had Hayden in my arms and I was showing him to Kaleb. I was telling him everything he wanted to know about Hayden.

"What's his name?" He asked the last question.

"Hayden." I replied

"What's his full name?" He questioned.

"Hayden Xavier Collins." I said as I got up. "When I leave the guards will undo the ropes." I told him then kissed his temple. I walked out of the cell and up the stairs. I looked around for Eric, but couldn't find him. He was starting to upset me after an hour of looking for him. I gave up and went up to the room with a sleeping Hayden in my arms. I looked at the clock to see it was two in the afternoon. I sighed as I placed Hayden in his crib then grabbed a baby monitor. I left the room and went downstairs to watch a movie as I waited for Eric to get back. I put on The Avengers and watched it for thirty minutes before slowly falling asleep. I woke up to the sound of Hayden crying so I checked what time it is. The clock read six thirty. I jumped up and ran up the stairs to Hayden's room. I went to walk in, but heard someone trying to calm Hayden down. I could tell it was Eric by the sound of his voice. I heard Hayden stop crying and the sound of something being laid down on a mattress. Eric walked out and saw me with my arms crossed over my chest. "Where have you been?" I asked. He sighed and gestured for me to follow him. I followed him downstairs as I was thinking about all the ways I could get out of here if he got mad enough.

"I won't hurt you so stop thinking up ways to get away from me." He stated and turned to me with sad eyes. He sat on the couch and I sat beside him.

"We have to let Kaleb go, he is my brother and he regrets the things he's done." I told Eric, but he shook his head. "But he is my-"

"I didn't leave because of that." Eric stated.

"Why did you leave then?" I questioned.

"I made Hayden cry because of my anger issues." Eric replied. "I'm a horrible father."

"Eric, you aren't a horrible father. We all yell and some times we will accidentally scare him because let's face it we aren't a quiet family." I told him. "I know you're worried because of your curse, but we'll all get through this. I promise."

"What if one day it happens and I lose my temper? I don't want you to leave me because I accidentally hit him." He replied and tears started to gather in his eyes. I sat in his lap as he rested his head on my shoulder.

"Eric that won't happen because when you start to get mad I'll send Hayden to his room. We have this under control." I told him. I went to kiss him and he leaned towards me. I heard barking and looked up to see Savage. "When did you get back?" I asked.

'A couple minutes ago, Abigail let me in.' Savage stated. 'I just wanted to let you know that I was here and that I'm okay.'

"Okay thank you." I replied and he walked away. I went to kiss Eric again, but Willow sat next to me and Amanda sat on the other side. Lilli and Trent were cuddling on the other side of the couch. Alexander turned on the Xbox and started to play Call of Duty. Trevor sat in front of Eric and I. I sighed and went to kiss him for a third time when Hayden started crying. Eric and I laughed he ran up the stairs then brought Hayden back. He gave Hayden to me as I looked at my new family. I would have never thought that I would get my happily ever after. I looked at Eric and finally got my kiss. Everyone made gagging noises. Eric and I pulled away as we laughed at their reactions. Thats how I knew we would be okay.
