The rest of the conversation you had was Kai seemed like a blur, you weren't fully able to focus as your mind was filled with thoughts.

Why did Beomgyu tell your family?

How did Beomgyu find out?

Did Yoona really betray your trust?

Was Yoona the one who told Beomgyu?

Although by the end of the conversation with your brother, he was fully informed about how your dad remarried and kicked you and that Yeonjun came to your rescue.

"I can't believe him", Kai scoffed as he leaned back against the bench. "His own daughter"

"There's no use in crying over spilt milk Kai, It happened months ago. I'm over it now"

"But still? Isn't there a part of you that's still mad at him? Parental abandonment isn't typically smiled about."

"And neither is a brother selling his sister", you reply, a smile plastered across your face.

"Hmm, touché"

 "What? Too soon?", you laughed.

Kai shook his head and let out a breathy chuckle, before leaning forward and taking a step away from the bench so he was now standing up and able to look down upon you. His expression softened.

"What is it?", you asked, pondering what could be the reason for his the look on his face.

"You're laughing and yet you seem... well sad"

You couldn't help but think to yourself about how right he was. Typically you were a master of the poker face. No one could ever see your true emotions, well not unless you wanted them to. But the issue with having a twin, whom you had spent countless hours of your life with, was that they could always see right through you. No matter how estranged you and Kai had become, he knew you just as well as he knew himself. That boy could read you like a book.

"Well wouldn't you be to If you'd gone through have the crap I had?" You asked whilst turning on your phone to check the time. "Oh my god- I'm gonna be late".

"Late for wha-"

Before Kai could even finish his sentence you had already pushed past him and was making your way down the path.

"Sorry Kai, I have somewhere to be! Bye!", you shouted down to him before quicken your walking pace to a sprint.

You continued at that pace until you reached Yeonjun's house. However, what you saw when you got there was something you had not expected.

As soon as you reached the front gate you caught sight of Yoona, Beomgyu and their parents exiting a black car and making their way up the front steps to the main door when Yeonjun and his family were standing, ready to greet their guests.

"The two Choi families meeting one another this evening? Nobody told me...", you muttered to yourself, your gaze never moved. "There is no way I'm getting myself in the middle of that"

So, to the best of your ability, you made your way around the back of the house. Although most of the home was surrounded by a 7ft wall, there was one part that you knew was climbable; the wall which had a conveniently placed tree beside it. Sure it wouldn't be the most graceful entrance, but it was out of the publics gaze, so why would it matter.

As you approached the tree, you removed your backpack and with one go throw, it successfully made it over the wall and now it was your turn.

Taking a deep breath, you rolled up your sleeves before throwing yourself onto the tree. Which was just about as classy as it sounds. Luckily for you, the tree consisted of many branches which assisted in your goal of climbing just high enough to jump over the wall and land safely in the back garden, without any injuries of course. But just like everything in your life, It couldn't go smoothly. As you finally reached a good enough height you stepped onto the top of the wall, but unbeknownst to you, your jacket got tangled onto the tree. So, when you made the leap of faith, it didn't go well. Instead of safely jumping down onto the grass, when you stepped off of the wall your body was pulled back, meaning that you were hanging in the air. Well, until you heard the sound of the fabric ripping and suddenly felt yourself falling.

'Well isn't this just great', you thought to yourself whilst waiting for the uncomfortable collision you were about to have with the ground. However, it never came.

Before you could even reach the ground, you felt something catch you. Or should you say someone.

"What are you doing y/n?", they asked as the held you in their arms bridal style.

"I could ask you the same thing", you replied. "Aren't you supposed to be having dinner or something right now?"

"Maybe, but seeing you try to jump a wall was much more entertaining"

"You better not tell anyone Yeonjun, or I swear you're dead"

"My lips are sealed", he said with a slight smirk.

It was only now that you realised how close the two of you were to each other. Feeling a sudden embarrassment coming over you, you pushed your hand against Yeonjun's chest and allowed yourself to be freed from his grasp.

"Well thank you for catching me", you blurted out, completely flustered. "But you should probably get back to your family-"

"Y/n I-"

"-And I have a lot of work to do and I'm only wasting time being out here with you", you continued, already making your way towards the house.

"Y/n can I just say, I know we haven't been talking a lot recently.... but.. I'm happy.. for you and Beomgyu. I'm sure you two are great together", his voiced seemed somewhat sad and strained as he spoke. Although, you weren't in the mindset to even talk about Beomgyu. So to make things easier, you just turned around and smiled.

"Thank you Yeonjun", and with that you were out of sight.
