In all his life, Yeonjun had never been so sure of anything.

He was not going to marry Yoona.

He couldn't understand why he had kept himself in this situation for so long. No one could force him to marry her, regardless of who his father was. In the end only what he wanted mattered and the only thing he wanted was you.

He had been pacing his room ever since he left Ms. Lee in the garden. She had told him to stand up to his parents, give them an ultimatum. Then if, and only if, his father still advocated for the marriage, Yeonjun would take all he needed and leave.

He was so sure of his plan, so why was he so nervous?

"Yeonjun darling? Whatever is the matter?"

Yeonjun turned around to see his parent's standing in the doorway to his bedroom. His mother looking at him with a genuine concern and his father as stoic as ever.

"Ms. Lee said you had to speak to us?", his mother continued.

"Yes, she's right. I'm sorry it's taken so long for me to say this but-"

"Oh get to the point will you?", his father interrupted."Mr and Mrs Choi are our guests and your immature actions are ruining our dinner"

Yeonjun gulped. His father used to terrify him as a child. With his need for obedience being the number one reason for all the disciplinary acts carried out on Yeonjun. But now all he saw was a pathetic old man who cared for nothing but himself.

"Fine, you want my point? I don't want to marry Yoona"

Yeonjun's father's eyes darkened and his jaw tensed.

"What did you say?"

"You heard me"

Yeonjun took a step closer to his father. He may have cowered under his gaze as a boy, but now he was a man. He had grown tall enough to look his father in the eyes.

"You may get to scare everyone into doing what you want, but you don't get to do that to me anymore"

"Now you listen here son", his father grabbed onto Yeonjuns shirt and pushed him backwards, causing him to fall into a set of drawers. A small cut appearing on his eyebrow.
"This is my house and while you're under my roof you'll do as I say"

"I may be your son, but you don't own me", Yeonjun grumbled as he got to his feet. "And your the most pathetic man I've ever seen"

Without another word, Yeonjun grabbed a backpack and shoved a handful of clothes inside. Placing it over his shoulder he walked out of his room, shoving his father to the side in the process. His father yelled at him to return but he didn't listen. This was his life and he would live it like he wanted.

He stormed out of his house and made his way down the driveway, rain bouncing onto the ground with every step.

"Yeonjun darling, please wait"

Yeonjun paused and turned his head to look back slightly. He knew his mother's voice anywhere and she was just as much as victim as he was. She didn't deserve any of this.

"I'm sorry, but I can't stay here"

"I know Yeonjun and I'm not going to force you to stay"

"B-but then why are you-", Yeonjun fully turned around to see a sad smile on his mother's face as she held his jacket in her arms.

"I couldn't let you go out in this weather as you are", she placed the jacket over his shoulders. "Stay warm and stay safe darling"

Yeonjun felt his eyes fill with tears and he leant over and kissed his mother gently on the cheek.

"Thank you", he whispered before taking a few steps back.

"Give y/n my love, will you?"

Yeonjun smiled.

"I will"

As he made his way further down the driveway and reached the front gates he was shocked to see to figures in front of him. That of Soobin and Beomgyu.

~~~~~~~~ Y/n's POV ~~~~~~~~
Yoona refused to speak for so long that you felt as if you'd get nothing out of her. But here you were, two hours after you arrived and now your so-called best friend had her head on your shoulders and was bawling her eyes out.
Her guilt got the better of her and now all Yoona could do was spout out mumbles of apologies.
"Yoona, you're making my shoulder wet"
"S-sorry" she sniffled, wiping her eyes with her sleeve. "Do you think you'll ever forgive me?"
You sighed. The whole situation seemed stupid to you. Yoona had a crush on Yeonjun and instead of communicating that to you she just pushed for an arranged marriage? That was something that could only happen in a work of fiction.
"I don't know, if I did forgive you it would take quite a lot of time"
Yoona nodded as she looked around the room, her eyes landing on the clock"
"Oh shoot! I was supposed to be at Yeonjun's house hours ago!!"
"Really? After all this you're still worried about a forced dinner with him?
"W-what? No I swear that's not it. It's just Mr. Choi will kill me!"
"Mr. Choi? As in Yeonjun's father?", you replied in confusion. "Surely it's not that big of a deal?"
"Trust me, you don't know him like I do y/n. He's a horrible man to disobey. Why I wouldn't be surprised if he knocked down the door right now!"
"Oh don't be ridiculous Yoona, who would be crazy enough to do that?"
As if on cue, a loud knock was heard at the front door, causing even you to feel brief moment of fear.
"See I told you!", Yoona spat out in a moment of panic.
You rolled your eyes as you got up to answer the door and to your surprise it was not to Yeonjun's father, but it was Taehyun and your brother, Kai.
