You sat on the bench, legs pulled up to your chest, as you stared out into the dark abyss. You were unsure how long it had been since you called Yoona, but you didn't care. Right now the only thing you were waiting for was sunrise, then maybe you'd be able to figure out a plan or ask somewhere about your whereabouts.
You were such an emotional wreck after being kicked out, that you hadn't even kept an eye on where you were going.
"This is all so messed up", you muttered sadly before burying your head into your knees.
As you quietly sobbed to yourself, you couldn't help but think how emotionally draining the past twenty-four hours had been.
First you discovered that the beloved child of your own tutor was the well known teenager terror; Choi Yeonjun. The worlds most kindest and helpful woman had somehow managed to give birth to the worst person at your school. Thinking about it, you didn't know whether to pity yourself or his mother.
Then you ended up in an emotional spat with your brother, the one person in your family whom you still cherished dearly. But, you let your anger and his betrayal affect you way to personally and ended up pushing him away.
Then finally you were kicked out, by your own flesh and blood, just because he'd found a woman that would allow him to play happy families again with.
So here you were, cold and alone on the Seoul streets, with nothing left to live for. No parents, no brother and not even a roof over your head.
How pathetic.
As your sobs gradually turned into soft sniffling, you could hear the sound of footsteps. At first they were faint, barely distinguishable from the running river in front of you. But they gradually got louder as the footsteps were getting closer to you.
In this moment you were unsure how to react.
If it was during the day, you'd have the lights protection as the current quiet city would be awake. People would be everywhere. But right now it was the middle of the night. The world was peaceful as the population slept.
If this unknown individual did have ill intent, no one would ever know. The night time was shrouding you in a thick cloth of darkness.
The footsteps drew closer and your breathing was beginning to hitch. With the way your life had been heading, getting murdered in the streets wouldn't be out of the question.
Then it stopped.
You couldn't hear the footsteps anymore.
"Y/n?", the voice said just above a whisper.
The sudden sound of the voice breaking the silence caused you to jump slightly. Confused as to how this stranger could possibly know your name, you raised your head up from your knees and looked over in the voices direction.
Even though it was extremely dark, you were able to make out the figure of the person. It was evident from the build, and their voice, that this hidden figure was a man.
Immediately the list of people it could possibly be was narrowed down quit significantly. It wasn't like you knew many boys; five at most.
Those five were: your brother Kai, Kang Taehyun, Choi Yeonjun, Choi Beomgyu and Choi Soobin.
You knew for a fact that it wouldn't be Kai, mainly because you knew him to well and would have distinguished his voice from the beginning. It also couldn't be Beomgyu for the same fact, you'd know if it was his voice.
It also couldn't be Soobin considering you didn't really know him and were positive he didn't have a clue what your name was.
So then you were left with two names. Your old best friend and your tutors son.
The unknown man chuckled as he watched your eyes squint as you desperately tried to make out his identity.
"You don't know who I am"
"Well duh, I can't see you", you grumbled before giving up and leaning back into your seat.
"Sorry, didn't mean to touch a nerve", he said quietly.
"No..", you said, now feeling guilty over your sudden outburst. "I'm sorry...that was rude"
"Rough night?"
"You wouldn't know the half it"
You groaned as you ran your ran your hand through your hair and looked back over at the man.
"So are you going to tell me who you are?"
"Are you sure you want to know?"
Your eyebrows knitted deeply and the confusion was clearly shown on your face.
"Why would I-"
"Nevermind", he muttered before moving forward and taking a seat beside you.
Once he sat down, you turned your head and immediately felt your eyes widened.
"Yeonjun?!", you breathed out in shock as the boy gave you a soft smile.
You couldn't believe it, this man who was known for being bad all the time was showing you kindness. If you were being honest, you though the man was was going to be Taehyun, not him.
"You're surprised"
"A little, your never really kind to anyone but your Choi buddies"
"You're right", Yeonjun sighed. "Now do you wanna tell me why your out here with a suitcase?"
"Can't a girl just go out for a walk with her belongings?", you said but Yeonjun wasn't convinced. "Fine.. I was kicked out"
"What?!? Why?!?", Yeonjun was genuinely shocked as he moved his body to face you straight on.
As he looked directly at you, his heart softened as he caught a glimpse of your red and puffy eyes.
"Why are you out?", you said with your eyes tightly shut, desperately wanting to change the subject before you broke down again.
"I just like early morning walks", he said matter of factly.
You nodded your head slightly before turning to look into the dark abyss.
The two of you fell silent, neither one of you knowing what to say next.
Suddenly the sound of thunder rumbled across the sky before a few droplets of ran started to descend. However, the rain kept getting heavier and heavier and soon it was pouring down on you and Yeonjun.
You frowned as you felt your whole body become completely drenched in a matter of minutes. Curious as to what Yeonjun's response would be, you looked back over at him. There you saw the also soaked boy staring up to the sky, his face completely blank.
As you stared at the man's side profile, you discovered how beautiful he was.
Before that moment, you had always thought that Yeonjun was an extremely attractive man, but now as you caught the rare sight of a calm and composed Yeonjun, he was beautiful.
You jerked back when the man suddenly stood up and looked down at you.
"Come on", he said, a hand now held out in front of you. "Let's go"
"Huh?", you asked in confusion as you looked at the hand before you.
"I'm not leaving you out here", he said, slightly lowering his head.
Completely in awe of his actions, you gently placed one of your hands in his and your other over your suitcase handle.
Once your hands were intertwined, Yeonjun began leading you back into the darkness.
