Yeonjun stared in disbelief as he eyed the males up and down.

"That's not the welcome I was expecting"

"Yeah dude, loosen up"

Yeonjun rolled his eyes before glaring at his two best friends.

"My apologises", he bit his lip. "Just not used to seeing you skip school Beomgyu"

Beomgyu raised an eyebrow as he looked at his older friend.

"Well you better get used to it", he spat before pushing past Yeonjun.

Yeonjun's back slammed up against the door as he felt the anger grow within him. His eyes fixated on Beomgyu and his muscles beginning to tense up. Who the hell did he think he was to disrespect him in his own home.

Soobin noticed the reaction Beomgyu had gave Yeonjun and immediately walked over the older man and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"Yeonjun... calm down", his said softly.

Instantly, Yeonjun relaxed and took a deep breath. With no words, he looked over to Soobin and smiled thankfully.

Yeonjun let gestured for Soobin to enter before shutting the door behind him and slowly approaching Beomgyu.

"So what are you doing here? You've never bothered to come to my home any other time I've skipped school"

"Believe it or not, this isn't about you Yeonjun", Beomgyu's voice was cold.

Yeonjun clenched his jaw. Never in his life had anyone spoke to him in such an aggressive tone. Especially not from Choi Beomgyu.

"Watch your tone Choi", Yeonjun tightened his fists.

Soobin gulped. He knew if he didn't speak up soon, he'd have a possible fight to split up.

"Don't mind him, he's been up all night", Soobin nervously chuckled as he rubbed his hand against his neck.

Yeonjun pivoted on his heel and turned to face Soobin. Silently, he raised his eyebrow and glared intensely at his closer friend.

"Is that so"

Soobin nodded.

"He's right.. I'm sorry", Beomgyu sighed. "I guess I'm just a little on edge"

Beomgyu frowned and looked over his shoulder.

"Yoona's friend got kicked out of her home last night and we have no idea where she could be... I'm.. Yoona's worried sick"

His voice was just above a whisper and pained. Yeonjun softened at that. He returned his gaze onto Beomgyu and instantly caught sight of the dark and protruding bags beneath his eyes. The younger male must be exhausted.

Yeonjun sighed as he leaned his back against the wall.

"What can I do?"

"Help us look for her" Beomgyu slowly turned his body towards Yeonjun.

"Is that all?"

"Well.. I thought you could maybe use your father's connections to-"

"I knew it", Yeonjun said with a sarcastic laugh.

Soobin and Beomgyu exchanged a glance as they saw the older male shake his head and walk towards them.

"I'm not an idiot Beomgyu. I know you don't like me"

Beomgyu's eyes widened.

"I stayed quiet for Soobin's sake, but I won't stand here and let you try and use me for your own personal gain"

"My own personal gain?? A girl is missing"

"Don't play dumb, we all know you love her"

Beomgyu felt the rage burning within him. He didn't need this right now.

"You know what, I don't have to deal with you", he stared intensely at Yeonjun as he made his way to the door. Hand on the handle he scoffed. "You're right, I do hate you and I always will"

Within seconds he had opened the door and escaped into the light of day, leaving Soobin and Yeonjun in the hall.

"Good riddance", Yeonjun muttered as he looked at the open door.

"That wasn't necessary Yeonjun"

"Excuse me?"

"He's only trying to find the girl, you didn't have to be so rude"

"So you're saying that whole thing was my fault?"

Yeonjun stared in disbelief at the man he'd know his whole life.

"Yes", Soobin whispered.

Yeonjun gasped, taken aback but what the taller man had said. He tried to speak, but nothing came out.

Stunned to silence, Yeonjun watched in shock as Soobin quickly left the house, slamming the door behind him.

Once again, Yeonjun was on his own.

"Master Yeonjun, is everything all right?", a young maid spoke up as she appeared at the bottom of the stairs.

"Of course it is", Yeonjun forced himself to say. "Now If you need me, I'll be In my room"

With that said, Yeonjun held his head high as he made his way up the staircase and towards his room. Once he'd reached his bedroom, he hastily opened the door and slipped inside the safe confounds of his room.

As soon as he shut the door, Yeonjun immediately lowered his head and slide against the door until he was sat on the cold hardwood floor.

"I don't need them", he muttered to himself.

But, if that was the case, then why did it hurt so bad?
